I just looked it up and this isn't the only failure causing fires from them. There have been half a dozen others from actual failures not just debris building up from running across a field. I haven't actually heard what is the actual failure this time is though

When they get put on their side it leaks out, and if it hits the exhaust it's Puff the Magic Dragon time.

133,000 machines that's is going to be expensive even @ $100 a machine parts and labor. But a check valve on the vent line would let air in and no fuel out if designed correctly. But what do I know.

If they had my expertise, I would not let them push out a product that starts eating bushings and bearings at 1500 miles, while sucking dirt past the engine air filters off the showroom floor.

No those are called accidents. Has nothing to do with being in control. Are astronauts in control of the ship they are on or just riding out a bottle rocket ride while 2,000,000 pounds of fuel burns off.

or ecu failures at 500 or headlight bulbs that fall into housing or overheating issues new or two belts before 1k or failed engine braking reservoir at under 1k or rear seat breaking apart several times under 1k or or or. But those are just my experiences. And that's why we're here my friend

Ya. No joke. Read, a 15 year old kid was killed due to this.

Below is a post on facebook by someone familiar with the incident that ultimately killed the girl. I won't post his name here but the post is a comment to HONDASXS post on facebook.

Comment from Facebook poster:
"I'm really glad to finally see this recall! It was a young lady near my home in Utah that lost her life to a fire after turning over a RZR 900 on it's side. Her grandfather allowed her and a family member to ride his RZR around in a pasture when they turned too sharp and put it on it's side. Fuel leaked out and a fire started. By the time her grandfather could get her out of her seat belt, she had burns over 65% of her body and her grandfather was also severly burned. She endured a long and painful 6 month battle of surgeries and many infections that eventually took a toll on this sweet girls body. During it all she was so brave and had such a positive attitude. Our community is just heartbroken for her and her family. I'm glad Polaris has finally decided to do the right thing! Over 160 fires have been reported on RZR 900 and 1000's If you know of anyone with a RZR, please let them know about this recall. After seeing what can happen as a result of a simple turnover on it's side, I wouldn't allow anyone I know to operate their RZR until the recall fix is installed.:
