Today I finally got my skid plates and a arm guards installed from S&S Fabrications along with removing my sway bar links. I left the sway bar in for now and just removed the links, but if it get noisy I will remove it all together. I thought I’d leave it in for quick reinstall incase I need to warranty anything.

Well I have some rides coming up so
I’m taking a break from working on the house and back to working on the machine. I did the heat protection first. I just used a car windshield reflector. We will see how it works.

I also did the rear door storage mod on one side. I will do the other later but two of the Allen heads were trying to strip so I might have to drill them. I’m using the storage in that door for a large tow strap and tree saver. I also put a couple ammo cans under the front seat. One has a few tools and the other has a 12volt pump, tire plug kit, and sidewall slugs.

I put on the rough country bumper panels with built in LEDs and their twin light bar set up that connects to the fairlead bolts. If you are doing this do yourself a favor and get a nutsert tool to insert them. I did it the old fashion way with a wrench and socket, but the other way will save significant time. Also I suggest having a good step bit if you have to make the holes in the bumper panels a little bigger to line well with the nurserts. A little massaging was done on my end to make it all fit and the washers supplied in the kit covered my tracks. Both of these light bars came with switched but I tied mine into a high beam switch from the club store. Pull off their switch cut yours wires to length and wire black to black and blue to red. Just tape up the white wire it isn’t needed.

I also did like many others on here and did the through the hood snorkel. I went through my brother in law’s scrap pile and took a piece of 3” exhaust aluminized pipe and painted it with header paint. We will see how it holds up. If I change my mind it’s just another stop by the scrap pile.

I am very curious an interested in the system 3 xtr 370 tires you put on. I am thinking about going with those myself. How do they do in the snow compared to the oem bighorns? Also how do they do on hilly terrain and trails compared to the oem bighorns?

They have went through everything I’ve thrown they at so far. Over a foot of snow was no problem, and I have done some steep black trails with them with now problem. They have rubbed a few times on downhill off camber while turning, because they are very true to size but nothing I can’t live with. I think you will be pleased with them I have been.

Do you feel any loss of power throughout the powerband with those tires?
