I have been looking for a '20 X model. Called a pretty large volume dealer in KS and was told they had received a "sales freeze" today on all Talons due to a recall. Anyone else heard such a thing?
Is this something I could do at home? I have access to scope. Not trying to cut out a warranty repair for a Tech but the nearest dealer is 2.5hrs away since my dealer closed. I would rather check it out myself than to spend 5 plus hours on the road to find out it isn't needed. This is a stupid simple inspection, if your dealer wants to sell any units they should be able to do this in under 20 minutes. We've completed all but 1 in stock unit that was affected. Now we're doing customer units as they come in.

Post a pic of this collar, the next time you have a picture of one
The parking arm (#9 in the part diagram) can slide forward on the shaft and won't engage with the parking pawl and the vehicle can roll in park. What can happen if collar is not there?

You know what years for the Pioneer ?The photo below show way you can tell if the machine has been inspected or repaired for this recall. On the Talon you should see a center punch mark under the last digit of the vin # which is locate on the upper tube on the drivers side front fender. If you have a Pioneer the same make sould be located within 25mm to the right of the last digit. If this is not there then you will need to have dealer run vin for confirmation. The dealership are asked to send Honda pictures of every unit inspected or repaired.
