P1000 Seizmik Doors?

Has anyone installed the top-half doors from Seizmik on a 1000-5? If so do they appear to be solid? Do they seal up well? I see them on several sites for $475 with free shipping.

I have Seizmik doors sitting in my garage not yet installed. I have the Honda glass windshield, hardroof, soft mid panel already installed. The windshield and roof look like they have to be removed to put the doors on. The instructions show the doors being installed with no windshield. FYI. All parts and materials look to be first class. But the Honda glass windshield definitely has to come off to get the door frame material on properly.

Not planning on the side mirrors. Installation will be delayed a bit. But will post pics.

Did you get them yet? I have my eye on a set of these as well. I like that you can open the door from the outside without unzipping.

I like these upper doors, takes bout an hour and a half to put them on. Zippers are very nice. Good quality all around... they seal great much better than my friends Honda uppers.

Anyone have any good ideas to keep air flow from blowing around the shifter so much?

i had installed the upper doors in november prior to thanksgiving 16 day mule deer hunting season. if you have a honda OEM tilt up windshield you will find it very difficult to install the doors so they seal properly. siezmek will send you a couple of pieces to add to your windshield that will either lower on one side or raise on the opposite side the bolt pattern for the bottom windshield attachment clamps. i can almost seal the door tight on drivers side but way off on passenger side. i tried every which way i could to tweak the door so it would seal but no matter what i did i could not completely seal them. they are very well made and extremely stout and i am sure if you purchased their windshield it would fit wonderfully. after i came up with a solution to seal all around the door it was fairly comfortable and as we all know if the machine is already warmed up it stays a decent temp inside and you wont freeze or get dusted out. i love the doors just wish there was another solution to the windshield clamps on their end so i dont have to change anything. But Heck, there is rarely a true plug and play aftermarket item out there anyways. i will give them a 6 out of 10 for fit on the honda 1000-5p LE. also a 9 out of 10 for the quality. one exception is the adjustment screw for the door hinge/swivel, it keeps popping out.

It was indeed very difficult, and it made install time much longer than advertised, but, in the end I did prevail, and I’m very pleased with the product, although, I did have to modify (read: improve upon) them to get a seal that was acceptable to me....

I had a long back and forth with the owner, who claims to have the OEM tilt up on their Pioneer 1000-5, and insists that the fit and seal is super!!! It may even be the one in their promotional video.

Yes and yes. With a couple mods they are a good fit and quality.

I’m really happy with my Seizmik and I have the same roof and windshield as you. CEC makes them that some members are using and really like as well.

Brent, what kind of mid-panel, if any are running? I’m interested in these upper doors, I have the same windshield and roof as you but I want a mid panel to totally close in the cab.

most are running the Honda mid panel. If you have the hard roof from Honda you’ll need to close the gap between the roll bar and roof with foam. I use 2x2 square air conditioner foam doubled over to close the gaps in the roof.

I like my seizmik doors and mirrors. they trailer well and seal good on the front,still need to seal the rear a little better.

Hey I noticed you said the seismic doors trailered well I will be trailering from East Texas to Colorado to elk hunt about 1200 miles will they make the trip or would I have to take them off?

I’ve trailered mine from New Mexico to Montana and New Mexico to Arkansas. No issues.
