Theres a couple threads on here already about them. Very easy to do your own . Cost me about $25 to do mine . And theres no need to cut holes in your front plastics.

how did you do it without cutting the front plastics? Through the cup holder?

Here is the snorkel I decided to come up with. It required very little material, super quick and easy to install and I can return the vehicle back to stick with a new hood if required. The snorkel can be extended or shortened by changing the pipe and it also acts a ram air scoop when facing forward.

I saw that. That's a good idea too. Everyone has their own tastes. For me, I didn't want the intake noise in the cab nor did I want to loose the cup holder.

For those that want to go real deep in the water, my setup may not be very good unless you extend the intake higher. If it's extended, it will need to be braced so it doesn't wiggle loose or break something.

Another cool thing I liked about my set up is it acts as a ram air intake, does it help? I don't know but maybe it does.

That's the great thing about these forums, everyone posts their ideas and mods so that new comers can view several different ways so accomplish the same thing. It's exciting to see 4-5 different snorkel set ups so far!

Here's the snorkel on my P700, I liked it but it blocked the mirror view a little and in tight trails it hits trees.

For the P1000, the snorkel would block the mounting of my right side mirror, that's something to think about for those considering a snorkel.

Can you explain materials used please and how you got to the cupholder.
did you have to seal off factory airfilter box?
I used different 2in pvc fittings from homedepot (cant tell you exactly which ones right now without taking it off ) I came off the the factory front box and went behind the glove box and up threw the the cup holder. I takes aliitle time to get the right fittings to snake it behind there but can be done fairly easy.

Thats 2 inch tubing? That looks big. Just a question here. Wouldnt it be better at the box to use a rubber coupler and go on the outside of the tube coming up instead of the inside. No way for water to seap in.
Also do they make a top piece like joeymt33 is using on his to fit the pvc?

Ya it would be better but the only thing i could fine stuck up to far and interfered with the hood. I actually stuck 2 in pipe threw the hole and attached the rubber factory piece to the 2in pipe. It looks like I just put the 90 right on the top but theres a 2in pipe attached to that . Not sure on the second question .

I know better than to take away my wife's cup holder. I get away with alot but that would be crossing the line.

Are you guys concerned about fouling the main air filter? It doesn't look like any of the the snorkels projects include a pre filter.

Good thought. I guess I could put that foam block in the snorkel intake to stop large debris.

My snorkel scoop does have a screen over it though that will stop leaves.

Where I ride is mostly mud and water. Dust really isnt to much of a problem. I did by a couple extra stock filters just incase. Plan on checking it regularly . The stock prefilter isnt really going to keep anything but larger debris out anyways .
