Periodically my Honda 1k stalls when its idling for a bit and I touch the gas peddle to pull away. It jerks forward and dies. Has no effect when in neutral. It starts right back up and runs fine otherwise. I also noticed that its a bit "jerky" on take-off when its trying to stall. I recently replaced an injector and went over all the injector wires and harness. No codes or anything, just stalls and starts back up. What are the signs that the clutches are go on bad.

About 4weeks ago (200miles) i did both plugs when I was having the injector issue. Air filter was replaced about 600-700 miles ago when I did my last service.

I could be wrong and someone will correct me, but if the clutches are smoked, it won’t kill the engine, it will slip and rev up higher and n even the odd or even gears.

Keep us updated when you figure it out
That is correct

Thanks everybody for the response. I drove it today for a few hours. Im really narrowing it down to the way the clutches engage, making it stall off the line.
How do I get the clutch re-learn process?

It doesn't do this in reverse that I have noticed, but obviously I'm going forward mostly. But it hasn't stalled or stuttered in reverse. The last oil change was about 600+miles ago and I use honda oil/filter/airfilter. At that time I also had a shift solenoid wire break so I had the solenoid assembly out. Then the injector went about 200 miles ago. Once I got that fixed this started shortly afterwords.

It’s just not getting enough clutching.
A friend of mine had erratic shifting due to the solenoid being gummed up with mud, we took it apart and cleaned it up. But that should cause slow or unresponsive shifts I would assume. And I would think problem with injector should be all gears.
someone else will come up with good info but I’d say do the relearn since it’s easy and free then go from there.
