P1000 Sub transmission issues

Hi guys new here, bought a 2018 pioneer 1000-3 with a bad reverse and low gear. So i took the sub transmission out to Repair it. ordered the parts and switched it over to the talon gears. My problem is i cant get it back together. I have rhe honda service manual assembled everything as the manual says, but when i do that i cant get the two halves of the case to tighten up. If i temove some of the washers from the main gear stack i can get the two halves t tighten up. I have tried all sorts of combinations, some cases the halves will seal but then i cant spin the input shaft. I woul assume once everything is back together and in neutral you can spin the input shaft by hand. Any help would be appreciated. I have taken it apart a 100x and verified every part. Im at a loss as to why i would nit be using some washers.

the pics of inside the sub are of my version to make it work. The pics of the gear stack outside are the way the book says but the last top washer does not make it to the groove.

Check the collars and washers with the parts book. The Pioneer manual says to assemble it in Park which is impossible. Assemble it in Neutral and check the Talon shop manual.

I looked at the parts fiche and their is 4 difference between the pioneer and the talon. The reverse idler, the reverse gear, the input shaft itself and the needle bearing that goes in the reverse gear, but that shows as the same size as the pioneer. I was hoping some people that have done the swap would chime in on what they have experienced.

Are u only using the talon reverse gear?

I am using the talon reverse gear and the talon reverse idler gear. do i need to use the talon shaft?

I have looked at this to death and cant figure out what is wrong. Does anyone have pictures of the talon gear held next to the pioneer gear. I want to see if maybe i got sent the wrong gear.

Yes I ended finding out I had the wrong high gear. When I first took it apart I tossed the original high gear and had put it two low gear. Got the correct gear and no more issues.
