New bearings can’t be that expensive, I’d put in new bearings and get that case fixed for a spare.

Have you tried finding another supplier with the same size bearings, they might be cheaper.

Pioneer parts are starting to show up on the ol' ebay...

Not saying this is the part you need but with a little research.

People are starting to part them out, I have ordered several parts this way.

You might be able to put the case in an oven and heat it up to 200-300* and put bearings in freezer over night. Then pull bearings out of freezer and lightly tap them into the heated case right after case comes out of oven. I have done this before on a Suzuki ltz400. Old bearing on top of new bearing and tap lightly with rubber mallet and bearing dropped right in.

I am a bearing salesman for a living. (Motion Industries) Do not reuse the bearings. Replace them. Yanking, pulling on the bearing will compromise it. Technically, if a bearing is dropped out of your hands onto the ground, it is junk. I can go on and on about bearings. Been selling Power Transmission for 27 years. Both Honda dealerships in NW Arkansas has an account with me. Let me know if l can help with crossing numbers. Remember Honda don’t manufacture bearings. Most bearings in Honda toys are Koyo.

Wow, we have a plumbing shop, brick and mortar on 402 East Emma , two blocks East of the tracks, I have bought bearings from Motion. Tyson owns the rest of the entire block, except for 2/3rds of the frontage on Emma, that block. After this covid and Emma takes off, we will develop this property into old school Emma offices and possibility a restaurant.

Yes sir Smitty! I work for both Fleck Bearing and for Motion Industries in Springdale. I call on accounts for both branches. We are fixing to merge the branches together over to Fleck on 40th Street here in the next few months. I’m an outside salesman for both branches. Come see me sometime!

Moral of the Story! Don't use a torque wrench when installing a Steel ,Titanium or other foreign bolt, screw , plug into a aluminum drain hole! Just get it wrist tight and a little bump on the wrench to finish, check for leak after getting hot

Agreed!

Back in 2007 I bought the brand new 420 rancher. First oil change looked at torque spec Honda gave and raised my eyebrows. No way I was going that tight.

The problem is mother Honda gives a torque spec for this bolt that some believe to be way too tight including me.
But I’m not an engineer.🤷‍♂️

My Dad, rest his soul, taught me how to use my 'torque wrist' before I reached my teens and I've been using it ever since. Thanks, Dad. (that doesn't include for engine assembly tho. )
