Looks like you had nice weather up there. We were up north a few weeks ago and the weather was 👌

Are you one of those weird religious types that have 8-12 kids? Or a Church youth group director?

LOL. That big van has come in handy a ton. We don't have any kids yet. That van was purchased for my wife's business. She originally was using it for large cleanouts when she would temp hire a dozen employees to clean dormatories. Since then it is used mainly for our personal situations when room is required. We tried to offer it for our church use for pathfinder activities but the insurance company says no. Apparently 15 or more passenger vehicles require a dually rear axle. The van is a 1 ton rated 6.0 litre that pulls better than my old 3/4 ton 6.0 Sierra. The van has a 6 speed and the truck had a 4 speed. We had two benches in the rear and the rest was all of our luggage and food. The weather was great for us.

The Pre-Filtration: 07-27-23

At mile 2224 with hours of 451.1 I installed the Uni pre-filter. I used an exhaust reducer for my adapter onto my underhood snorkel. I had to cut my tube back to make it all fit. If I did not have the amplifier under the hood I don't think I would have had to cut anything. I oiled it up and made a snug fit with it. I think the machine is as ready as time will allow for our Drummond Trip.

I used the Uni UP-4300ST filter with the Nickson 97583 adapter.

Inspired, did little more trimming for a fit I liked. Was not trying to hit the battery.

Self Help: 01-24-24

I made a jumper wire to keep in the pioneer to use in case I need to self jump my rig.

I purchased a new battery and still need time to install it. The warmer days have allowed the current battery to slow start the machine :p so my lack of requirement keeps me from replacing the battery.

I feel like it's been forever since I have done something to the Pioneer. I dismounted the SuperATV Intimidator Tires, painted the beadlocks with the orange color I really like (it was finally back in stock at my local Ace), mounted the Interco Sniper 920 (in a 30x10R14), and lastly hand torqued over 600 bolts (each wheel got a minimum of 6 passes). Now I need a place to ride and test them out at some point.

I think I am the first to have the orange rings. I painted them when I first got the wheels and I try to keep them painted anytime I remove a ring. My "at home" wheel set has orange accents as well.

The last time I painted the rings was for my brother to ride the Pioneer for his high school prom. "Safety Orange" was out of stock and so I used "orange" and it looked like it had a reddish tint to me that I did not care for. You can see the color difference in the rings before and after. The one mismatch was the spare ring that was still "Safety Orange".
