I found my truck, and made some tailgate latch bars to hold the gate up so I could tow another trailer if need be. Also, I like the gate up as much as possible for safety. Now the plan is to haul the truck behind the motorhome.

Sunk the money on mad ramps. Works like stated. Love it. Short bed.....best thing if you don't weld or fabricate. Have trailer but like this for spots with little to no turn around

Can the hitch take all that weight.?
Yep. ClassIV hitch and good condition. Would not on class III. Tongue weight on toy hauler is 475lbs. Been pulling it thousands of miles. See the photo of atc toy hauler.

I checked truck squat and it is the same as the trailer. Handling in corners with pioneer 500 in bed is definitely not the same though.

I looked on the Mad Ramps website and using their formula, you definately need a class 4 receiver. Most pickups, unless you have a HD towing pkg , will have a class 3 receiver limiting you to 500lbs of tongue weight.

Leaving room in front for deer season. The mad Ramps prevent any closer to cab due tires butting up against tailgate

That looks scary. I wouldn’t want to be driving in a snowstorm with that. Good luck. And good luck hunting. This guy is still around this year. Only like four snow storms last year. Enjoy.

Agree. Handling is much different than towing it on utility trailer. But it's better than than the over the bed decks. Still use my trailers when needed ...camping or when hualing hunting gear or food plot equipment.

In southern Indiana we don't get that many bucks that size. Need some help shooting that one? Would make a great season for me and my buds to have around that one roaming on my farm.

Yeah, he’s a nice buck. I have a picture of him at 10:00 in the morning but didn’t show his rack as good. There is another guy but his rack goes out instead of up. I think he’s a 10. I’ll have to find his picture. And there is around four or five 8’s a few fours and a couple spikes. Most winters are hard in Cape Breton but last was good. Not much snow, so all should be around. Haha. Somewhere. That camera is at a 100 year old Apple tree at an old farm that no body knows is there. Except the people I’ve shown. And best of all. It’s not far from my camp.

You don't even really need that long of ramps. Just put it in 4x4 and crawl up. I have a 6.5 ft box and put small maintenance ramps at the front of the bed so the tires rest against the front of the bed. That way I can strap it from the bed rails to the forward anchors with no worries.

Is that a Silverado 1500? Do you feel stable driving that setup on the freeway? Does it feel as stable or as easy as hauling the p500 with a trailer? I want to get this setup with some sumo springs. Would appreciate your input?

Rookie question. When loading into the bed, even with a stock setup, you need to crawl over the wheel wells in the bed, right? Is there generally enough space in front of the wheel wells to prevent the P500s nose busting through the back window? Headache racks a must?

Whatever you do, consider the forward momentum if in a crash or hard stop.
