New to the forum and thinking about buying a brand new 2017 10003 EPS. Is 13,960 out the door a decent price?
Sounds like a good deal on 1000-3. It will do everything you need and more, and the turf mode is nice running around the yard
The 700 is better for plowing snow in my opinion. I liked the shifting of the 3 speed better, turf mode is great. If all i was doing was utility id go 700.
It is if you plan on running it in your yard a lot. The 2-wheel lock will definitely tear it up.
The 1000 shifts through the gears pretty quick you can do it in manual . The 700s 1st gear was perfect for pushing. The torque converter is a real asset in the utility world. My 700 would tear up the grass on sharp turns. But if the main job is snow. Id go 700 it was a pleasure to plow with. But everything else the 1000 has the edgeThe 1000 is significantly heavier than the 700, would that offset the 700 rear lock problem?

There are several videos on Youtube of the 700 plowing. Seems to do great. The 700 doesn’t have a low gear for plowing. The 1000 does, wouldn’t that be better for plowing?
Have you driven them? Drive the 700, and if you like it, buy it. DON'T drive the 1000 after.I can get a brand new 2017 700 deluxe for approx $3100.00 cheaper than the 1000, that is a big plus for the 700.
What to do? I’m torn.

Yes, sharp turns will tear up the grass but you can minimize it by not getting on it hard and making the widest turns you can. I personally like to see two-track though the yard...

I had the 700 and now I have the 1000. the 700 will tear up the yard for yard work the 1000 is better either one will plow just fine.A little more info.....I want it to use on my 3 1/2 acres and to plow my long driveway in the winter.
Is this too much machine, would a 700 deluxe work for me?
I've plowed my long steep gravel driveway, and also any neighbors driveway, and even an intersection that the county doesn't do for the past 2 winter's with ZERO PROBLEMS with my P1K. I grade my driveway with it also. I don't baby it. I put it in 4wd low, and go to work. I only have 1 battery, and even using my warn winch with Led light on, the electrical system works fine. I use my P1K like you want to, around my 10 acres. Turf mode is great, and does not tear up my grass in the yard (unless you want to). I bought this thing to work, and it does that.
Occasionally I go wheeling up some gnarly rocky 4wd only roads, and I can tell you this thing can and will go places that I do not have the expertise to try.
The clutch issue to me is not worth a thought. Never had an issue. It sucks that a lot of people have, and I know its a real thing, but mine doesn't. The heat? Yeah it gets hot in the cab. I have the Honda hard roof and split windshield. I actually like the heat in the winter. I'm not planning on getting the heat or clutch fix unless the clutch acts up.
Personnely I wanted a SXS with enough power to plow, haul, and whatever else the country life up here in remote Tennessee trows at me. Glad I have the Twin engine.
