Live and learn, lol. thanks
👍🏻Sometimes POIDH (pics or it didn’t happen) really does help. I almost made the same mistake of getting the trailer with the ramp until I saw it in person. I happened to have a tape measure in the van and it quickly changed my mind.

This is my Talon on a 14' trailer (7" longer than a P1K). Since it was my first SxS, I had no idea where I was headed with the hobby so I went a little longer than minimum (if you have the room to store it, you won't be sorry).

Loaded for travel. I get by with a single axle but I'm right up against the 3500 lb. axle rating when fully loaded.

I had to add holes to the ramp holding straps to move it back far enough to reduce my tongue weight with a full load of fuel. Since I didn't know what I needed, I added 4 holes but cut 2 off later, one at a time. As the Prez said above, controlling tongue weight might be a problem with a shorter trailer. I also didn't know that I'd be adding a bed extender/spare carrier.

Perhaps they are different here, no idea, FYI.
Yea, they are bigger there 'cause meters are longer than yards ... 🤣

I have a Rance Rough Rider (nohomo) RRU6512SA. It's a 6.5' x 12' all aluminum (wood or alum decking avaiable) single axle trailer that only weighs 660#. The GWVR is 2990#, so the payload capacity is 2330#, which is the weight of the 1000 plus about 500-600# depending upon what kind of crap you have installed on the buggy.

If you want metric, you can do the math. But it fits nicely, even with wider than stock tires & wheels and wheel spacers on all four wheels.

I have a 6 x10 trailer for my p5 And it's just right. My suggestion would be to go longer and at least a half foot wider. Also by adding double tandem gives you better breaking.

I just went thru this for my Honda 700, and settled on a Karavan 6.8 x 13 trailer. I love the drop sides, and at 80" it's wide enough I can walk around it while loaded. Might be a little tighter width wise with the 1000 but your tires won't hit the rails.

It's a single axle with about 2300 lbs of payload available, which should be enough for the 1000 and some gear.

Happy with the extra couple feet at either end. Given a choice I'd rather have the 16' dual axle, but I know this can go behind a fifth wheel when we get around to upgrading the RV in a year or so.
