Whining loud noise from trans or drive train. What is best oil/ lube to use?
I just switched to 0-40 mobile 1 full synthetic. It's made for European air cooled cars. So far it's the heaviest oil I've found that will allow the sub trans to shift when cold. We rode about 250 miles last week and had no issues with shifting to low gear like I had with the 10-40 when cold.Whining loud noise from trans or drive train. What is best oil/ lube to use?
You get some grinding when it was cold? Mine did that a couple times over the last couple years and it gave up the ghost out of the blue on the last ride I was on. Check your cable (under the main battery and little splash cover), hopefully it's just a tad stretched and getting it back in spec coupled with the synthetic prevents it from going kaboom.I just switched to 0-40 mobile 1 full synthetic.
