Finally got in from 4 days of work travel. Had dinner with the fam and then read the boys their bedtime stories and said good night. I didn't get out to she shop until 9:00pm but I put in an hour of work on the rear winch mount. Got the winch plate mounted to the angle iron. It will be welded on and then two of the winch bolts will go through the mount. Maybe tomorrow I can get some more done. I don't travel until Wednesday so I got two days at home.

I sand blasted the welds to remove slag so paint will stick. No cracks and they turned out to be decent welds. I think snuff and Delton would even approve. Next will be more blasting, acetone bath and then powder coat. Dang this project has taken me too long. Still got to run wire, mount solenoid, hook up wireless remote, and then test. I'll try to break it and see what happens.

CP: I've been saying that since that jack wagon was picking Legos from his turds:)

Hurry up my friend I'd love to hear your review!

Got super busy today. Took the day off work and helped a couple friends out camper tops on two different trucks. Then one got a battery. One of the camper tops got a slide out bed and a slide out overhead drawer. That camper too was crazy! Like $4600 crazy!

I'm about to make a beer run and then go to the shop. I'll get it powder coated fairly quick and then work on the wiring.

Sucks being the only one in the family with tools. Got roped into fixing a broadcast sprayer and hooking up a radio in my folks garage.

BUT, got it sandblasted and powdered.

Also got the solenoid, breaker, and wireless contractor mounted. Dang it's getting crowded in there.

Let's hope the synthetic rope can take the heat. Not a big deal if it doesn't. I can always take the wire rope from the farm rig and put it on here. Plus I have the wire rope to come off the new winch for the front.

SOB!! I broke the winch!

306874c92f3d40f826fad20517d6ed37

The back of the winch was not flush with the winch plate because it was just barely touching the welds that hold it to the large angle iron. This actually happened last night but took it off today to see what that "TINK" noise was. I'm so pissed. I just want to ride!
