What model was yours or rather did it have a connection where you could unhook the main wire (power, input, etc) from the bar itself? I had read that was a potential water entry/ failure point.

No connection for the harness. It ran thru the housing. Still could be the entry point though.

Update:

Wetsounds rebuilt the sound bar completely for $203 including shipping back. Pretty steep buts now it’s a new one for a lot less.

I should try to keep the water out I guess. I thought I didn’t have to worry about it. Maybe I got a bad one? It’s never been under and never pressure washed. Idk

An update for the lighting. I’ve noticed that I’m low on power when night riding. The alternator can’t keep up with all lights and the stereo so I’ve decided to reduce the wattage to the lights and try to get more efficient with quality and aiming.

I ended up removing the 40” bar and added some smaller rough country lights. I reduced the total wattage 116 Watts. These I’m now using 5 smaller lights up front to aim where I want them vs the 240 watt bar. I moved the side lights to the back like others have done.

One important thing is the front lights are on two separate circuits so if there is a failure I will only lose half the lights instead of all of them.

Here they are. 3 floods and two spots

I also mounted the Lifetime trail maps tablet. I put it in a RAM mount and a water resistant case. I’ve got two locations, one on the sub and one up high next to the sound bar. It will stay low unless I need the middle seat. With the chopped top it puts it a little low in front of my face. To move it, it’s just a thumb screw and I’ve got a RAM ball mount in both locations.

I still don’t know how to use it very good but I’ll try it this weekend if we don’t get rained out.

The usb chargers are 5 amp rated. It easily charges my iPhone and the tablet. I’ve got two of them on the dash and one in the glove box!

Oh and the RAM mounts are great. I used the aluminum version instead of plastic just in case we flip again. I don’t want the tablet to go flying.

What are the other two lights you have on your number here on either side of your light bar? Did you take those off?

Also cool that the WS tech called you to try and find out

The little lights are MicTuning brand. I’ve been running those for a while and I’m satisfied with them. Here’s and old pic of them.
