One more quick question, did you have some 3" tubing/pipe laying around or did you order it for this application? I picked up some sched 40 PVC to do it but none of the couplers I grabbed fit. Guessing this will do the trick (...and it's "High Class Brushed Treatment" will be sure to drop panties)

That’s the stuff I bought. I think I bought a 3 foot length because I wasn’t sure if 12 inches was going to be enough. I’m thinking I’ve got a little bit more than 12 on it right now.

There’s also a silicone adapter from

You’ll need one that goes from 2-3/4 up to 3 inch

Not yet. I've got a 3D printer and found a few pretty cool ones that I want to print first and see how they hold up in the sun.

I'd like to throw together a custom design but I'm severely lacking in the CAD department. Maybe this will give me the inspiration to learn how to do some 3D modeling. I found some pretty funny ones that people have shared the files for though that I"m going to try (I've got the top one going on the printer now):

Printed the first snorkel head I posted and it came out like crap. Where did you pick up your snorkel head? Found a few on Amazon/eBay but they are all coming over on the rowboat from China with expected delivery times in late June.

Thanks, that's the same one I found but looks like there's a Prime seller instead of waiting the month for the China delivery. What did you guys use around the cutout in the hood? Looks like rubber tubing?

That snorkel design isn’t for everyone. But you should at least do something. There are many options out there.

It had the snorkel kit that used the right side cupholder. I eliminated that and am just going to terminate the intake under the dash.

I’m not a fan either of losing the passenger cupholder and the large pipe coming up the A-pillar. I’m sure it works fine but I wanted something easier and cheaper but I needed a little more protection than the under hood model. Plus the sound is cool!
