P500 Trigger's P500

trigger submitted a new Garage Item:

Trigger's P500

Just thought I'd share some pics of my P5. I got a lot of ideas from this forum and want to give back. Didn't think I would go crazy with the accessories but in the end...
Maxxis Big Horn 2.0's 26x11 Rear 26x9 Front
SSV Works Sound System
Noam 4" Marine Speakers
Powered 8" Sub Tube In Toolbox
Custom Bed and Toolbox
Half Windshield
Rear Cab Net
Cab Cargo Bag
Honda Rearview Mirror
Roof
Front and Rear Honda Bumpers
Frame Plugs and Hub Cap Center Covers
KFI Winchplate and KFI SE35 Stealth Winch
KFI 66" Plow
Opt 7 22" LED Bar
Custom Console/Armrest
Strong Made Stick Stoppers Front and Rear
RotoPax 1Gal. Gas Can
Garmin Montana 600t w/Amps Mount
Honda $10 Harness...proved invaluable.
Power Blocks in Toolbox
1" Wheel Spacers
I think that's it. Hard to remember it all now. Took some fabricating and innovation to make it all fit and work. Soundsystem cranks pretty good with added speakers and subwoofer. Took it out last weekend and everyone at the trailhead had to come and take a look. Climbs like a billie goat and goes through mud like a wild pig. Bought it as a plow mule and it turned into a trail beast. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and insight.View attachment 13802 View attachment 13803 View attachment 13802 View attachment 13803 View attachment 13804 View attachment 13805 View attachment 13806 View attachment 13802 View attachment 13803 View attachment 13804 View attachment 13805 View attachment 13806

Could you post the dimensions, materials used and perhaps some close up pics in and out?
Pretty easy build if your handy with wood. Only put 1" Dense Foam on top. Rounded edges of wood with sander. Best black vinyl available at JoAnn's Fabrics. All joints screwed and glued. Capped bottom with masonite. Put false bottom in to hide fastened straps. Relieved back edges with 45 deg. angles so seatbelt latches still had free movement. Dimensions are to long point of angles cut at 22 1/2 deg. Put two roller latches inside, you have to jerk it pretty hard to get open.

Have at it Monte glad to help. All of that was per your request anyway. If you come up with anything to make it better let me know.
Thanks a lot, will do. Mama's a bit corn fed (tell her I said that and I'll swear you're a liar) I think I'm going to find something the same dimensions and stick it between us to see how we fit with it first. But I sure hope I can make it work. It looks good, is practical and the fabrication is top notch. Great job!

Tried going that route myself. Use something existing and try to convert it for this application. Ammo can was as close as it came...and :) I won't tell.

Been carrying this pic in my phone for a while. Figured I'd post it here so I can get rid of it. Looked pretty sweet in chrome but wouldn't have been the right look for this P5. Hand bent the diamond plate on rails and bed. Toolbox Had it sprayed with Line X. Was way more expensive to have done than rattle can route but nothing sticks to it now. Made it more ridged too.

Looking very good trigger. I like that fire ring that's proudly displayed too. Have you already installed after market skids?
Lol! You just had to throw that in didn't you?!
Trying to make me spend more money and roll around on the garage floor.
With friends like that...now you got me thinking about it again. o_O

No, really I asked you that because it looks like you have a skid coming up over the green plate you made for the front???
