are you going to be doing head studs or anything to support the extra pressure?

no because im not going to be pushing it that much 7psi ish isnt close to the danger area now if i was saying psi in the 20s then id have to drop the compression ratio and stud the head and intake

I think @spifyd was only running 4-5psi on his 700.

I've done both...Nitrous on bikes and turbo on street car. Each has their pros and cons. Turbo would probably be more practical for a sxs imo. I liked the nitrous on my bike because it was the same every pass (great for bracket racing) plus you can tune on motor. But refilling bottles would be a pain for off-roading.

Knowing the space constraints of a P500, getting all the plumbing of a turbo on that package will require some creativity. Not to mention with added power comes added heat, may require a larger radiator.

Do you have a powercommander on the 500?

With the powercommander, you can hook a map sensor to it and retard the timing plus the auto tune option.

The timing stock is probably pretty low so you are probably fine.

I wanna turbo the the 1k!

It'd be nice if there was a 3rd party kit or better yet a Honda signature accessory so it didn't void the warranty

Man that thing would run like a pack of dogs after a 3-legged cat.

I mean it's fun powersliding in 4WD as it is. I could only imagine the trouble I'd get into with a turbo.

Still waiting for someone to turbo the P5....
RHB31 VZ21 turbo looks to be a perfect match. $140 on eBay. It’s tempting. That little 2 valve head just needs some boost to wake it up. Cheaper to do a turbo then a big bore. Also has way more cool factor.

oil feed is where the problem is without building a stand alone oiling system

Yes, that is a head scratcher. How did SpiffyD do it on his 700? From the pics, it looks like he pulls pressure off the head? Return can be dumped back into the crankcase anywhere. I just ordered a used oil filter cover for cheap on eBay...going to see about drilling and tapping a 1/8 npt fitting into it. Guys have done that to add an oil cooler on a 300ex or some of the utility models that didn't come with a cooler. There is a guy on youtube running a rhb31 diy turbojet with no oil by using ceramic bearings. Not sure how long they would hold up.
