I've had my Talon since Dec '19. Never did a build thread. Here's a bit about my machine, and what I've done to it the past few weeks.

This is it back in July on a trip to NH.
When I purchased the machine, I also got the Honda Factory front glass windshield with wiper, rear window, bought a warn vrx45 winch, honda front bumper, and nerfs

Since then, I've added
Superatv skids
Superatv alpha rear rack
Dirt Road Fab rear cargo tailgate
Heated seats
Auxbeam 8 gang switch
Baja designs squadron pro amber lights to front bumper.

Last spring I finally installed a Kraftwerks Turbo. I've had multiple tire sizes and wanted some power back from running 32's. The Turbo install wasn't bad, I did it by myself in the my garage over the course of a few days working on and off on it. The Kraftwerks tune wasn't great, so I reached out to PPEI for an updated tune. So much better. However, my mileage went from 100 plus miles a tank to bone dry shutting off at 75 miles.

Winter time the talon usually sits parked most of the winter and I'm out snowmobiling. Last year the winter sucked and this one isn't looking much better. So I planned on using the Talon more.

I took some of the cash I was saving for a new sled and started throwing it at the Talon. She's got about 3700 miles on it, and the steering rack was showing play. So I ordered a RB3 rack. We'll since I was going to take the rack out, I also bought the upgraded superatv power steering unit. The front end is apart already, so I also bought the super atv atlas forward a arms and frame stiffener.

Install of everything was pretty simple besides the power steering getting the motor mounted to bracket was a pain, but I manged to do it alone with just a few curse words.
The next thing I did was purchase a set of aftermarket headlight brackets to move my squadron pros to the headlight area. I have the amber covers on the squadrons, and bought a set of Auxbeam xp ultras in spot to mount next to the Bajas.

During this time I also tracked down a slight coolant leak I've been having for 4 plus years. I'd lose a very small amount over weeks. I pressurized the system with a cheap kit I bought off Amazon, and found it on the y pipe going to my inferno heater.

My next project was re installing the honda factory rear window for the winter. I haven't been running it because of the intercooler for the Turbo is right behind where it goes. The brackets for the intercooler attach to the rear roll bar so I have some cutting to do on the window to make it fit. I'm not too worried about airflow to intercooler in the winter. The rear window will come back off in the spring
The window has a metal channel it fits into on the bottom. I had to cut the channel in 3 pieces and slot the plexiglass for the intercooler mount.

You can see in the Pic above, there are triangle areas on each side of the window down low that are not covered. I had some plastic mud flap material and made a template for those areas

Well, I must have been a good boy this year, and Santa brought me upper soft doors from Utvenclosure.com. They fit great. You can unzip the whole side off with one zipper. I really wanted the OEM honda ones, but they were out of Santa's budget. I had to figure out what to do about my Seizmik side mirrors. The mirror mount had the mirror right where the zippers were. My solution was to remove one of the roll bar bolts and replace it with a longer bolt. I cut a hole for the bolt in the uppers, and used spacers to get the mirror where I could see them

Here's some pics of the upper doors. I was able to tuck the fabric behind the front and rear windows to keep them from flapping

I had to trim just a little off the rear of the roof to access the zipper for removal

My next task was closing off some of the huge gaps in the doors. I wanted to order the kit from that Alaskan dude, but I don't use Facebook. I like figuring things out myself, so I started in by ordering some weatherstrip from Amazon. I bought 20' of these two for around $40

I started in on the doors. I removed the outer door skins and went to work. I cleaned the edges with brake clean, and heated up the areas with an old hair dryer for the stick on weatherstrip.

Between these two different types, I've got door areas all sealed up

I'd say I've got 97% of the doors completely sealed. I also put some between the main doors and the lower door inserts. The threshold stripping also worked great for the floor drains

I'm not to proud of my solution for the area where the brake spring comes through the firewall. I cut a hole in a spray can cap. Cut the angle to match the firewall, and taped ot on. It will be fine for now.

I took it for a ride yesterday. It was 12 degrees out and 20mph winds. I was in just a long sleeve t shirt. Had the heater on low, and was very comfortable. I got the screw in snap kit with the upper doors, I'm going to use a few small squares of velcro too between the snaps to keep it tight. There as a small draft, but with the wind gusts it's to be expected.
