When we lived in AK and it hit 50F most were in shorts...don't know about flip flops...could be a Canadian thing.

not a Canadian thing,more like a convenience thing.my spare fridge is is in my workshop,just off the back deck,so i'm constantly going out there.it's just easier to slip on flipflops rather than going around to the mud room for boots.

lakes completely frozen over and it won't get above freezing for a long while.i think it's going to stick.ice fishing and hundreds of kilometers of winter trails by mid January,hopefully.
