We don't ever have large fires here. Flooding is main concern around here. Next would be high winds then tornadoes.


Well, looks like Hurricane Grace is going to stay south. Fred is moving through Georgia. We are easing through last warmest days of summer watching leaves on some vegetation slowly start to change colors. Today we will be around 91 or so with rain chances this afternoon.

We are finally getting some much needed rain and cooler weather. 1 of the worst fire seasons on record. We’ve lost a whole town so far (Lytton) and quite a few people have lost their homes. Gonna be a while before these fires are out.

Cooling off here for a few days. There were funny dots in the dust on my truck this morning...not enough to wash it off just leaving mud behind in strange patterns...some may think this was rain...not so sure...could have been flock of pigeons.

Well we had an earthquake about 3 miles from our cabin today. Only 2.7 but for NC it was an event. Also got Fred bringing rain and tornados to the area

Rain season has ended here. Time to start daily watering again. Beautiful days though with low humidity. One week before we depart for the cross country trek in our SXS’s……😎
