@Caper get ready it coming for you this Sunday.
We're going to get it Saturday. 2 to 3 inches of rain. And 50 mph winds.
I'll take it over snow any day.
You would have loved to see the giant bull moose I saw last Saturday in Alberta. Huge pan, and I'd guess over 2,000 lbs. No bull tag. Just cow. A cow walked right out to me and stopped about 40 yards. But she had a baby calf with her on her hip. I wasn't going to shoot either. Then the bull came out behind her after she jumped the fence. When he did run and jump the fence, it was like thunder. If we had a bull tag, his ass was grass. But was nice seeing an animal that huge. I've seen bulls around Cape Breton, but nothing that big. He was like a Mack truck.
Hopefully next year they will get a bull tag. 😊

Believe it or not, he was bigger than him. White legs, and tree stumps for legs.
Hope I see him next year. 😊

Oh I believe it. I spooked a big bull a few years back. He put his head back and ran through some alders ripping a lot of them out of the ground. I couldnt reach the rub marks probably 9-10ft high

No big deer around, very few deer at all in fact.. I hunted the last week and the only antlered deer I saw were a spike and a young heavy 8. I only saw 2 deer yesterday before the storm. 3 the night before. Guy that lives 1/2 mile west found 3 dead near his little pond back late august/early sept. That tells me EHD reared its ugly head with the drought.

Neighboring landowner went back home, said it wasnt worth his time. Guy north pulled his stands out friday. He hunted all day Friday and saw 3 deer in an all day sit.

Having fun with our 7" of snow

You guys have EHD around. It's in Alberta too. Have to send in the brain to have it checked. A pain but need to do it.
We're good so far in Nova Scotia.

Well our first taste of winter highs 45* lows around 25*. But its going to start warming up. The snows we get are usually the here today and gone in a few days. We got a two footer several years ago, it was a blast!
