Well...Arizona was...ah...warm...50's at night and 60's during the day...perfect!! Got back to find 8" of new snow and temps in the 30's. BUT...Saturday is supposed to be in the 50's. 38 now and headed into the 40's. Still have inches of ice on the ground

I looked at 24 properties, all had one thing or another that keeps me from "loving" them. One place was on 120 acres but mountin goats need help climbing up there. Most had beautiful views and nice homes but each had "show stopper" features. I did find a new development on the famous "Rt 66" (the mother road) that has promise... new homes on 5 acres and no restrictions on building a shop...clearly a MUST have. Not enough room for a 100 yd range but mountains within 10 miles to shoot on. I could still have my archery range on the 5 acres and I don't make a lot of noise doing that. Perfect spot for a 40x60 shop next to a house under construction. We're talking to the builder thru 2 realtors which is not my usual method...I found his phone number so talks will take place next week. We'll see.

It's going to be cold today, my wife and I are going to Can Do Hardware in Gravette. It's not really a hardware store, you can look it up on line if your curious. We're looking for Easter candy and a couple of out door thermometers.

Easter candy...I'm still trying to get rid of Christmas candy...I ate all the chocolate covered cherries and gave away the rest. I do have chocolate bunnies without ears. I suppose they are OK for Easter too. I'm pretty much stuck on Kit Kat Fudge mini's...crispy wafers dipped in fudge...go well with cinnamon sugar roasted almonds.

Cleaned out the wood stove this morning and put wood on the back porch yesterday, I'm ready!
We took back the stove from the camp made in Virginia, maybe good for Virginia but not Cape Breton. We bought a Drolet, it cranks the heat. We had 12 big sticks in it of rock maple. Definitely works better.

Nice fire!! 27 headed for 50's again. Another week or so and it may stay above freezing overnight and that's a sure sign Spring is here at least for awhile.
