Put it all back together. Colors don't match but I kinda figured they wouldnt. I need to do some work on the lid yet (a few bruises on it) repaint it black and install it.

The interior key lock mechanisms in the box on the Scarab got bent and damaged at the Takeover and no longer function. So, I've been using a ratchet strap to hold the lid down since then, but it's not secure and looks low budget. So instead of replacing the expensive box itself, I decided to just use a chain and some master locks to keep it down and secure. At least I won't have to worry about someone messing with my stuff when it's on the trailer while I'm in a store etc..Hopefully it won't rattle too much on the trail either, but it is pretty tight.

I think it looks BA! You had the right idea going into it I think. I'm assuming you sprayed it with something close in color? You can get a brush on to match at HD, that's what I ended up doing. Takes a little longer to apply but then you could keep your scheme going.

I used Rustoleum yellow , same color I used on my half winshield. The winshield looks to match pretty good but the cargo box , not so much.
The Honda yellow has a orange tint to it , so to get a perfect match , I would have to do as you suggested.
Took the wife and dog out to the river for some Silver fishing. Her jinx holds true......she has never caught a fish in the 26 years we have been married. I got one but it was a snag so it went back in the river so no fish but a fun ride.Next day went with just the dog. Limit in less than two hours.
Due to considerable rain (about time!) in the East Mountains I took the Missus out to the ranch to look at wildflowers, a nice couple of hours of puttering around, plus we saw a blue heron in one of the catchment ponds (New Mexico at 7000 feet, what was it thinking?)

Went with 28” mega mayems. Looks so BA. Ride on hard pack/pavement not so much but u gotta sacrifice sumtin, right? Been having a blast on stocky’s For a month. Can’t wait to try out these bad boys in the mud.

Great looking ride !! I've got mayhems on mine. They're awesome in mud. Combine them with the Torq Locker and your 500 will be dang near unstoppable

I couldn't take it anymore , I found a paint that matches pretty close. (Rustoleum golden sunset). I hated walking into the garage and seeing that Brite yellow. So I removed the box , taped it off again and sprayed it.

installed some rocker switches for my light bars 40 bucks off Amazon can wait to try them out at night.
