Put it all back together. Colors don't match but I kinda figured they wouldnt. I need to do some work on the lid yet (a few bruises on it) repaint it black and install it.

The interior key lock mechanisms in the box on the Scarab got bent and damaged at the Takeover and no longer function. So, I've been using a ratchet strap to hold the lid down since then, but it's not secure and looks low budget. So instead of replacing the expensive box itself, I decided to just use a chain and some master locks to keep it down and secure. At least I won't have to worry about someone messing with my stuff when it's on the trailer while I'm in a store etc..Hopefully it won't rattle too much on the trail either, but it is pretty tight.

I think it looks BA! You had the right idea going into it I think. I'm assuming you sprayed it with something close in color? You can get a brush on to match at HD, that's what I ended up doing. Takes a little longer to apply but then you could keep your scheme going.

I used Rustoleum yellow , same color I used on my half winshield. The winshield looks to match pretty good but the cargo box , not so much.

The Honda yellow has a orange tint to it , so to get a perfect match , I would have to do as you suggested.

Her jinx holds true......she has never caught a fish in the 26 years we have been married. I got one but it was a snag so it went back in the river so no fish but a fun ride.
Next day went with just the dog. Limit in less than two hours. 66249D67 3129 4E51 B83D 3E3B03396293

Due to considerable rain (about time!) in the East Mountains I took the Missus out to the ranch to look at wildflowers, a nice couple of hours of puttering around, plus we saw a blue heron in one of the catchment ponds (New Mexico at 7000 feet, what was it thinking?)

I tried the new wheels and tires today, now I know why they are everyone’s first recommendation. The mule now rides like a champ, I want to deflate the tires a tiny bit to further perfect the ride and performance.

Loaded boulders to fill in the erosion spot and the photo of being stuck last week. I made the “bridge” spots and it worked well but there was some major puckering going on.

On top a small bluff in Oro Valley for work

Coming down from the small bluff noticing how much easier the ride is with the new larger tires. Also could notice the tiny lift I got from them. No loud bangs today from rocks and sticks where I heard 3 last week when I was out here.

Very happy.
Sorry I didn't see if those were 26" or 27" tires

Great looking ride !! I've got mayhems on mine. They're awesome in mud. Combine them with the Torq Locker and your 500 will be dang near unstoppable :D
Ur killin me Troll! I’ve got just as much research on this forum in the Locker and PS as I do in tires/wheels. Dam I really want the others. I think PS is gonna be first. U SOBs are right, I thought my house was a money pit. I might sell it just to find a bigger mud pit this ole P5 can’t go thru ;)
