Don’t know. I’ll compare.

I didn’t use Honda, mine covers the entire under belly and comes up the front some too. It’s silent sliding over rocks.

Yeah they sent those to me too when I bought the rock sliders, Don's a good guy. I didn't end up using them though as I made my own out of diamond plate. As for skid plates, I went with the UPI brand that are plastic. They're like 3 times as thick as the stock skid. After market skids of either variety is money well spent. ;)
I thought I had my mind made up. Haha. Thanks for the info Trigger.

If you ever get a chance to ride with somebody that has aluminum skids, I recommend it, dragging over rocks is like fingernails on a chalk board and when gravel gets on top of them lol, it’s noisy....
Haha, choices, choices. I thought it was going to be easy.

Lol, hell no, it never is, first you have to choose between aluminum and UHMW and then you have to choose your manufacturer as there’s many for both. There’s multiple old threads on this where you’ll see where the majority of forum members land on this, it’s worth your research. :)

Haha maybe. One thing to consider is that the sooner you do it the better as it only gets harder to do the more you beat the stock skid and fasterners up, and less chance of rusted out bolts twisting off. I had one, some have reported multiple....

My bike is in my garage when I’m not driving it. I gave it a shot of Krown rust proofing when I bought it in 14’ . I give it a little shot once and awhile. No rust yet. And that’s what I’m worried about, hitting a bolt underneath. I’ll have something on before I take her out May long weekend.

Yeah, I don’t have any rust on my SXS (which is presumably what you mean when you say bike) but the bolts that hold the skids on are internal on the frame, you can’t see them, there’s almost certainly rust in there.

I spray Krown in the frame. Point it downhill a bit and spray the heck out of it. Wait then turn it to let drip. We have salt air and roads in winter. We have to take care of rust. If we don’t, we’ll pay for it. Haha. But I know what you mean.

And sorry Monte, I didn’t mean to suggest your SXS was rusty. Things don’t rust in Alberta, probably the same in Oklahoma and N M. . They do here. Haha.

No, I meant it’s not rusting in all the visible parts. I know there’s rust internally as I twisted a nut....:D

I took it off two years ago to run the CB antenna wire to the back. All good then.
Caper
Wow, I removed bolts along one side and ran my wires.
