I figured if that thin POS held up that well to what I put it through, then one made 3 times thicker would be damn near indestructible. :D
Mine had a lot of tears and lacerations clear through. It is sooooo rocky where I ride that 3/8” full skids was one of my most indispensable mods.

Yeah, this one is doing ok, except for the bend, and the deep scratches. Haha. But I gotta get something more. Thanks Trigger

Great. Thanks again. Is there a big price difference between the two ?

I think that if you compare skids that are the same in coverage, the UHMW will be about 20% more.

Btw, what I did for my Pioneer 500 today was to get a noise/heat shield on its way in the mail.....

Well you asked so I just threw it out there for you. In case you didn’t notice, that one is thinner and doesn’t cover nearly as much as the UHMW skids I installed do. But if you don’t drag much perhaps you’re good with the OEM’s for the duration. :) And those are about half the cost of good UHMW.
Yeah...and thanks!
Looks like UHMW is cheaper than i remember. I think the last i looked was a full set of pricey for the 700 from SSS that was nearly 1K. A viable option at those prices, i guess.
But as you said, i really don't need them at this point.

Looks like type of skids have as much different preferences as Power Steering/not, tires, offset, AT/MT, sway bar removal, seat belt limiter disable, winches, bumpers, boxes, color, etc, etc. LOL. Not a bashful group..and thats a good thing!

Really, I would have thought they would have been less expensive. Thanks Monte

Nope, research the composition of UHMW....

Took my 9-year-old son on a long loop ride. It was fun!
