Are you responding to my post?First thing I'd do is a clutch adjustment. Mine was stuck in 5th before and that took care of it.
Yes, he responded to your post. Are you responding to my post?
Stuck in 5th. Did you get anything like I had? No reverse... flat line on the instrument cluster etc?First thing I'd do is a clutch adjustment. Mine was stuck in 5th before and that took care of it.

The problem was transient. It lasted for about 10-15 minutes of running time. I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Ok. Mine was finally stuck in 3rd but I had some wicked trail to get through. I had to winch right at the start... then miraculously it began shifting. But not wanting to take a chance, I did the clutch adjust. I think it might have changed a quarter of a turn. Another 75 hard kilometers this morning and its flawless. I'm hoping this transient tranny problem doesn't recur. Thanx for the clutch idea.It wouldn't shift at all and was stuck in 5th. I could have tried the shift tool but just drove back to the trail head and loaded it on the trailer. Did the clutch adjustment when I got home and it's shifted fine ever since.
Boy, that’s weird Al.URGENT ADVICE REQUIRED!
Hey guys. I'm on day 2 of a 4 day ride. Shifting failed on my 2017 P5. I was riding along, easy trails... temp was 75F etc. Was in auto. First the paddle shifters wouldn't change gears. Then it wouldn't shift down in auto. I switched it to manual and the gear indicator guage flashed 3 afew times and gave me the flat line. I turned the key off and waited 10 seconds. Started and ran ok for maybe 30 seconds then refused to shift. Finally I stopped. I had to cut a tree off the trail. It wouldn't go into reverse! Finally I was stuck in 3rd gear with no reverse facing a mud-hole from hell... which I tried to get around but side-slipped in to. I was only 25 miles into the bush and my 74 year old buddy was in street shoes. Sorry I didn't take a picture. I was too pissed off. WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS.
After winching through the mud-hole from hell, the P5 began functionning normally and ran fine for the next 25 miles. Has anyone run in to this? I'm abit leery of heading out in case this reoccurs.
This happened 2 hours ago... 15:00 hre, July 09. Any thoughts??

This happened just before. Dropped the rear wheels into a washout. Had to winch out as well.
PS: I don't know how to create a thread. Hopefully I'll get some response here.
Try that with a belt. Well you can, but you’ll smell burning rubber. HahaView attachment 140529 Hauled wood.
Looks good. And your probably right on the fan. I keep that jump start in the bike.Must be P500 gremlins week. After setting up 600 feet of new pump hose, P500 had dead battery and dash display just flickered quickly. Jump pack started and on C tek charger. 2 hrs 9 months old. Maybe time to replace. Wonder if the aux radiator fan pulls more than alternator output at idle??
At least the fish will be happy during this dry spell.
