Cut up and hauled some old fence from the side yard to the edge of the road. Grueling 30’ [horizontal] descent 😅

Installed a Tusk vinyl rear window with a Dusty Dawgs rear rack. I had to punch 2 holes in the clear vinyl to fit it between the supports and the rack.

I’ll keep it rolled up so our lab can get in/out through the cab until the weather gets cold.

Yesterday went out on a fun little ride with a fellow member @futzin.

It is always interesting to compare my “work in progress” machine to his “mostly” complete unit.

What are the rear racks? Looks like the one on the left has rail slows for 2x4s? Maybe both do. And the rear panels behind the cab?

We both have the Honda Rear Panels and the Honda snap on trays. They do have rail slots for 2x4's, his on the right is just hidden by the "quick-ish" release boxes he created.

Bustin sod. Or maybe that was the problem. Somebody did bust it about 5 or 10 years ago.
First day on a 40 we just bought in the UP. Last farmer there plowed it and grassed it over. Looked like a beautiful field. NOT! (if you love your ankles) I needed a place to be able to drive in and park as well as a future whatever space. A good test for the GroundhogMax. Three hours in and thats what I had. If it was flat it, it would have worked, but the deep furrows were a little much. I had to head back, but we'll be back to finish the 40' x 100' area. But....I'm paying a farmer to disc the remaining eight plowed acres.
Here is the before and after.

What did I do today? Not a damn thing. It's hell hot in august here in VA. This past weekend, I cleaned up some electrical mess by the prior owner and did some prep to install my new power steering unit this coming weekend. I have the superatv PS unit, and some wheel spacers, new winch synth cable and mount, and some other stuff as soon as the weather breaks. Saturday is supposed to be nicer. Going to try to install everything, clean up some stuff, spray a little rust with rustoleum, and finish my post used unit buy cleanup and get ready to take her back to my mountain property.

Rode it yesterday into the national forest and found some big elk tracks in the mud. Retired in Montana so it’s less than 10 miles from our home.

Confirms my suspicion that there are elk ‘summering’ in that area and gives me a starting point for early archery season. The darn wolves keep tge bulls pretty quiet.

The P5 will get me everywhere I need to go, the rest is ‘me’ any my wanting him in the freezer more than he wants to be alive.
