Used the Superwinch 3500 on a 140 ft trenching job up a 20 to 30 degree slope. The trencher weighed 500 lbs and couldn't crawl up the slope on its own. The $15 wireless remote winch control was a godsend. It worked 200 ft away.

In this image you can see the wireless remote in the lower guy’s hand. I am 100% sold on these wireless remotes. Easy to install and gives you a lot of flexibity when you need to winch.

Worked the winch over a 6 hour period. It never broke a sweat. Couldn't have done the job without it!

That's good sh** right there Al, whatever it takes to get it done! Did you leave the P5 running the whole time, periodically? Are you running a second battery?

Hey. I have the single stock battery only. Ran the machine periodically. The job took 6 hours. I have a volt meter wired and didn’t let it go too low. Figured if I did drain the battery too low I’d just jump it. During heavier winching I ran the machine. The radiator fan came on pretty steady. The winch got warm at times but never really hot to the touch. It was 14C outside so nice and cool. We handled the winch line a lot; I’ll never go back to steel cable.

yep, think that wireless remote for less than $15 was one of the better additions, no problems here.

My early Christmas present came today. My wife found these toolboxes on sale at Wal-Mart for $125, so she ordered me one to replace the Honda bag I've been using. Now all I need is to drill some holes and pick up some ubolts. Gonna put the strongmade basket behind it as soon as @JTW and I can hook up, so I can get it from him. Looks like I'm gonna have to relocate my gun rack as well.

She actually ordered it online and it shipped right to the house. I just checked, they are $169.00 now. She said they had it in their clearance stuff at the time. It's also 169 on Amazon, She said it was 125 there also at the time.

@BadBowtie - If you slip a piece of rubber fuel hose over the u-bolts then they won't scratch the paint on your rack and keeps it from rusting where they contact it. Don't ask me how I know...

Welp, it's mounted up, had to stop at Ace after supper and pick up some u bolts.

Thats a good tip, thank you, I wrapped the u bolts and used a piece of rubber on both sides where it's mounted.

Rode and cut/winched trees to open trails at USFS OHV park, MANY curious looks at the P500 back at the parking area filled with dirt bikes and atvs. Good conversations and even some thanks/handshakes for this little P500 workhorse opening up some trails for all. A good day for the cost of a gallon of gas! Wash time now.

Did my second service last night. Seems to be shifting better after the oil change. It got to the point it wouldn't shift from L to 1st unless it had been drivin a long time and 2nd to 3rd sometimes wouldn't take. I took a quick spin around the yard and if shifted fine and seemed to be smoother.

Also moved my gun racks up high enough to clear the toolbox lid.
