Any small engines I use 93 octane or pure 87 octane.

There's been a couple of discussions here about this...

P1000 - What fuel do y'all run in your P1000?

P1000 - Non Ethanol Fuel

I personally use regular unleaded... 87 octane, no additives. Never had a problem. It's also Honda's recommendation in the manual. My wife's 2008 FJ Cruiser isn't happy with anything less than 90. That is what Toyota recommends.

I also try hard to run ethanol free, not always possible but ethanol proves to be hard on engines. Someone here mentioned an additive that helps with it.

I have always run 91 octane in my 700-4. We now have pumps around town that have ethanol free 91. I will be using that in the future.

Ethanol is to be avoided it is a inferior product or the government would not have to mandate it. (and I am a farmer)
So here in north east MO you have to get premium fuel to avoid it I try to run ethanol free in all my small engines, not so much in my cars

Yeah it's all corn gas up here. Maybe if I went way up to the airport or something, but I don't think a tank if gas ever sits in it more than a week anyway, a little heet in the fuel and it'll be fine.

I only run ethanol in my twin 200hp outboards and they have over 1650 hrs and get run hard offshore so I guess it can't be that bad. I do use Startron adative with every thank though. It's supposed to eliminate the ethanol related issues but who knows it may just be snake oil..lol

I have twin 180hp High output Yamaha's in my boat and they run like garbage if I put ethanol in them. Luckily I keep it in the slip most of the time and our Marina only carries pure gas. Funny how some engines don't mind it and others throw a fit!
