P1000 White Lightning Build

snuffnwhisky submitted a new Garage Item:

White Lightning Build

Bought her 2 weeks ago. Had a full page s*** list the first night. Didn't really know about Honda having a sxs or much about sxs's until I talked to my brother about getting one. He works at the local Honda shop... lucky me! Started reading this forum after talking to him and out of the blue a guy at work wanted a four-wheeler and I had one... so it begins!

How many man hours you think you have in your up grades, I would guess least 500, lets see at $ 100.00 per hour that would cost $ 50,000.00 if you sold to the public plus materials. You have a one of a kind rig, and it's cool!

I'm trying to keep front as close as possible width wise to 61 inches as well as the rear, front 14 X 7 6+1 and rear 14 X 7 4+3. Would that be pretty close to stock width front and rear? Would that be the rim off set if Honda ran the same size tire all the way around? No thats not right! I'm trying to find the stock from rim off sets in my service manual, doesn't say. Any one know?

The stock deluxe wheels:

F - 14 x 7.5 w/5" BS
R - 14 x 9 w/6" BS

I measured the width and BS to the outside of the rim.

My rims are 14x7 5+2. Outside width is 8" with 4.25" BS to the outside of the rim. Running a 1" spacer in the rear.

What did your over all width end up from side to side? I'm trying to keep as close as possible to stock width, I don't want those little pesky P5's getting to far ahead of me in the tight woods! HA!

Went to the Honda shop this morning and worked with there guys to do the clutch update on my rig. My odd gear clutch looked good. Didn't really notice much change afterwards. Did find a cracked wheel spacer on the rear.

I would guess a barrel roll is outside the specs for the spacer.

64.25" to the outside rim. 66.25 to the outside tire.

Broke wheel spacer. Looks like one side will be a little wider than the other for the next week or so.
