Yes, there are 2 versions of the 2023 Talon. The "S" version and the "NOT- S" version
The "S" version is 2022 to its exact specs. Best to look up 2022 parts when needing something to eliminate confusion.
The "non-S is the real 2023 with lots of updated and changed parts. So dont get confused with the 2023S when hunting parts.
Also, Don't be confused with the model labels, they all have an S in them like this - "SXS1000S4R", Which this model label is NOT actually an "S" model. Its the Non-S model.

Looking up parts for 2023 is going to be troublesome.
I'm not going to say a DARN thing! But it's hard not to!

Great. More confusion.

So you're referring to the "S" literally being in the model number? Such as:

Talon 1000R vs Talon RS  and Talon 1000R FOX Live Valve Talon 1000RS FOX Live Valve

I've not seen an Talon 1000R (non-LV) advertised, only a Talon 1000RS. On the LV, I'm only seeing Talon 1000R FOX Live Valve, not Talon RS FOX Live Valve.

If not, how they hell do I know the difference?

$30,650. They can suck a dick. Just because they can't produce enough inventory they think they can jack up the price. I will buy another POS before I over pay for this one. I'm sure it's on purpose. Other brands are offering rebates now.
Agreed. Southern is notorious for “add ons” to jack up the price.

It may take some time to sell with all the accessories. I think it is ok if they have a stock one available. The old 2023 models in stock also have lots of options too including one with a Turbo. I wouldn't buy from this dealer. We have the same problem here with a few dealers. Fortunately, we have a couple of good dealers but having to travel 50 to 100 miles sucks. The dealer here adds accessories plus stupid high setup and other fees. Some Hondas take about one hour but they still charge $900.00 for setup.
Yup. That’s their racket.

Just re-read your post. Now I'm #$%@ing confused! 🙃

Found this - clear as mud: HONDA REPORTS CHANGES COMING TO 2023 TALON LINE UP - UTV Action Magazine
It's easy anything with an S designation is a readied 22 model.

You probably won't find the newest models going out stock without options added. The dealers don't make huge profits off the machine in stock form, It helps the parts and service departments and profits when they sale addons.
I for one don't work for free!
I just worked with the dealer on what options I wanted and they worked with me on a comfortable price for them and me.

I bet there are going to be some disappointed Talon customers who thought they were buying the latest greatest 2023 model and ended up with an S instead. Who at Honda thought it was a good idea to release all these models at once and not have a consumer friendly way to tell the difference? Seems stupid.....

When you go to pick it up, look at the doors. If it has the half doors, it's an early 2023. If it has full doors, it's the new version.

But ... yea.

My unit has arrived! Went to sign the paperwork. Didn’t pick up today since they’re still installing lots of parts. I’ll pick her up tomorrow. Here are a couple of pics. It’s currently getting the Honda oem winch and all required parts installed. Also a particle separator 2, and 11 gallon trail tank, new seat belts and some other goodies.

Congrats! Glad they came through and you got it before your state bands the internal combustion engine! Way to give them the ole middle finger salute!
