I dont think 500cc is ever a requirement...the 50" is the market not the CC. (And "Trail rated" is a jeep thing...)

I don't care what the displacment is, that doesn't matter. Most all the big names in the 50" "trail" category offer some sort of front locker/limited slip. Honda should step up as well. If I could sell mine right now without taking a huge loss, I'd upgrade to a P1k since 50" isn't a concern to me.

As far as all SxS's:
ETX Ranger
450 Ranger
500 Ranger
AC 500 Prowler
Kymco 450 (also loaded, since it and the AC are essentially the same machine).
The old 450 Rhino.
Probably some Asian machine I don't pay much attention to...

What do I win?

Honda does not reply
to any emails....asking
bout it...
I've never seen a diff
lock...on any UTV / ATV
.....under 650cc
& feel that has something
...to do with it..

The AC prowler 500 is 50" with a diff lock, hell even my father in laws 500cc Honda foreman and mother in laws 500 Rubicon have front diff locks.
Well hell

Reading this thread in the last few pages should let the reader understand why we have to sit and rub the rosary and pray that the aftermarket will do what Honda didn't... because Honda has a monopoly on the category, and what would you expect a company who's slogan was "Follow the leader" do but deny you the bare minimum that has been industry standard for at least 15 years. Can't wait for the 2019 200 pioneer 2wd and its more versatile drum brake system.

At any rate, no point in beating this pile of horse bones anymore.

Plenty of 50" machines have front diff locks, plenty of 450+ cc machines have them too. Just because Honda has one of the smallest motors and a lack of a diff lock, is not something to brag about, yet that is what your arguing.

If they can put lockers in the front of their 500cc and bigger 4 wheelers then a SxS should be no problem. And if you've never seen a front diff lock on a machine smaller than 650, you must be new to the atv/SxS world.
