P1000 Will OEM Honda/WARN winch install kit work on all years?

So I just purchased this NOS winch from a Honda dealer brand new in the box for my 2018 Pioneer 1000-5 deluxe.......

08L71-HL3-A41 Honda Pioneer 4500# Warn Winch​

As you may be aware Honda then sells separate the mount/install kit which includes all the wiring. So I found this one one eBay.........2016 HONDA GENUINE PIONEER 1000 3P 5P EPS DELUXE WINCH MOUNT KIT 08L72-HL4-A04 but it basically states it is 2016 only.

Honda is saying I need this one for 2017-up.......Genuine Honda Pioneer 1000 Winch Mount Kit 08L72-HL4-AK1 which will cost me over twice as much as the one I can get on eBay.

The parts look the same visually, from the pictures. I am assuming that a wire or plug or two may be different as they do have different OEM part #'s. Just curious if anyone can speak to this. Thanks

I can tell you the factory side plug they use has not changed.

I can't speak on the actual harness.

Was also going to say what your looking for, should be the same from 16’-21 hardly anything has changed in that dept in those yrs. If its not the same, return it

Just a heads up, if anyone else is interested..........seems the big difference between 2016 and all other years was in 2016 you had to run a long ground wire that was a major pain in a**. So apparently in 2017 and up Honda started including the wire to make winch installs easier. So my yet to be proven theory is that a 2016 winch install kit will work and will only come with an extra wire that you will not need, and you can buy this kit for $129 instead of $400! Honda - 08L72-HL4-A04 - Winch Mount | eBay I will try and send an update when I finally get around to doing the install.

I can not say. I got it to mount a WARN 4500. I would just compare photos of the two winches. It has been my experience that winches and their mounting holes are pretty universal.
