So I need to order a winch, I know warn is suppose to be top notch. However I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with theirs? Or if you have had good luck with another brand? I will definitely be going with the. Synthetic rope as well, being in the Great Lakes steel cable won’t hold up long.

I got a warn when I bought pioneer. Broke it trying to pull a polaris ranger. Stripped something inside. I bought a badlands and haven't had any problems. But I have used warn all my life on my trucks with no problems. I wonder if the smaller warn are made cheaper or are all the new warn made cheaper. 🤔

Wow, opposite sides of the spectrum there. That’s unfortunate about the warn. I’ve never heard much about the badlands, I’ve always seen them at harbor freight but never paid attention. Do you have a controller for it or a button inside or both?

I'd look into the ones from the club store, they're not bad quality/price.
I've ran a "extreme" wEnch  from amazon for about 2 years now and its surprisingly held up well. I put it to work often, on my second rope but the wEnch itself ain't bad.
I've also used badlands from HF and they perform ok also. Just switch it over to synthetic rope and you'll be good to go 👍

Just put on my Viper Elite from the HondaSXS store this weekend. Have had the 3500# version on my mud machine for over ten years with no problems. And I gave that thing hell. Wireless controller is great to have too.

Hope the new one I put on the Pioneer is built as well.

Warn uses plastic gearing. KFI uses metal gearing.

I've got super winch terra45 on my pk1 that get used every ride, and have had them on several atvs over the years with no failure on any of them. They're also reasonably priced and advertised metal gears and a good warranty when I bought my last one about 3 years ago.

This ^^^^Terra45.
I have it on my loaded X3 and it has pulled me out of deep sand holes on steep hills with no problems many times.
Or a Badlands 5000lb (great reviews) we just bought for the Pioneer 700 $359 on sale.
