Elevation. ......
It's fuel injected
that shouldn't be a
factor..
I've had mine from
sea level to 12,138ft
not a sputter. ...
just sayin

Air is less dense in higher elevation. No way around that whether it's fuel injected or not.

The P700 is fuel injected and it suffered badly from high elevation. In 2015 they added O2 sensors which help it properly meter fuel which help keep the fuel to air ratio correct but you still loose HP the higher you go up.

A naturally aspirated engine will lose ~3% HP for every 1000' of elevation. To over come this, you need a turbo that will compress the air. I love turbos!

Thank you. Anyone who thinks elevation is not a issue is traveling the river Da Nile. 55% of rated output HP approx. at 15,000 feet and the lapse rate is constant based on temps, barometric pressure and humidity. I vote for superchargers.

Just curious Monte. Are we comparing 50" machines to 50" or 50" to 60". My friends RZR is 50" and while its okay there is still not the stability of the wider machines.
50" to 60". I've seen a couple RZR's on their sides as well.

Yep. I ride in the hundreds of feet in OK/AR and 8-10,000' here in NM. the difference is quite noticeable.

Actually Monte, I was comparing center of gravity between Foreman and P500. Seems I sit high on the foreman and the P500 one sits down low. A few brought up good points of using body English, which I have. Gonna ride in one hopefully this Wednesday. Thanks all for the Input!

We should be telling everyone to get the new can am Maverick X3 at 63" wide.

The RZR 800 trail, the 570 & 900 RZR trail and the ACE and the wildcat trail are/were also 50" machines. The biggest difference is the seat height, in the p5 is a bit taller so it feels a bit more spooky. I just wish we could get a 50" or so machine with longer travel and suspension.

It's very true. I have no respect for those I see on the trail who drive and drink beer while driving, I guess it might look "cool" , but throwing cans all over the trail and shooting forest signs turn them into "pigs". And then seeing intoxicated atv/ sxs accidents at trauma department u wonder about natural selection force.

All machines have their limits, all depends how u mastered and learn angles to approach obstacles.
I did my Homework. ...
I read REVIEWS of each
& every BRAND on the
MARKET. ....ALL had many
riders....looking for offset
tires...& or spacers to make
it more stable....EVERYONE
....some tip quicker than others
....but that Margin is minimal
IMO.....

I was referring to your statement that you wouldn't take your Foreman where your friend took his Polaris, and suggesting you likely wouldn't take a P5 where he took his Polaris either if it was an intimidating circumstance as you seemed to suggest. Hopefully the input you've received here has helped you in your decision.
