Went back and read the entire thread. It was great to watch and the interplay between you and the other members was a blast. The best part IMHO was the involvement of your family in all phases of the build. You are a very talented young man and did a outstanding job. I am sure you and yours are and will enjoy it to the max. Looking forward to seeing more as you tweak it as it appears to be a build in progress.

Thank you buddy it means a lot. For us this was always a family sport, it’s been tough to keep kids outfitted with machines and gear, you don’t just keep one thing running you keep 7-8, you gotta give up a lot of what others appreciate sometimes. That’s why we buy what we buy, things don’t have to be the best or prettiest they just have to be dependable.
The family has always came together when needed the rewards have been huge even with tragedy. Almost 20 years of doing this and my regret list is small. We’ve made a lot of friends and extended family, some because of this site, so I’m very thankful of that.

Proved to not use it as much as we thought we would. I guess we like an open a rig as much as possible. The Jeep thing wasn’t for us lol.

Long day at work today especially considering it’s my day off lol. 6am-12am. Got a side job finished so we could continue work on the Basket and also do a little on the Pioneer.
Seam sealed the inside of the aluminum to the frame to keep moisture out of the edges and to make it stronger as well.
Cut insulation and spray glued it to the outer skin. Cut it 1/2” shy of all the edges and filled this gap with expanding foam to give it a good seal so no moisture and also to make it much more solid. Wife helped again today which made up some time and flat out more enjoyable.

Couldn’t stand the aluminum look so a quick prep, a little bodywork to the center of the two sheets so at least it wouldn’t be an obvious seem and mask up to squirt.

Looks great! Now all you need is a big decal on the back that says “Clutch Basket” in some shape or form like jazzed up. Or a big “CP” the same way.. something along those lines. You did a wonderful job on painting that gate looks smooth as glass.

I’ve been looking into something for the rear door for a bit now tossing ideas around. I’d actually like it to say “Clutch’s Basket” somehow. Like the @Plumber32 and @trigger decal types a lot but that might be too much to tie in the rest of it. Ang wanted everything mellow so it’s gone that way so far. Talked to Walter already with this idea and awaiting some thoughts from him.
