4.88 is the lowest they have for the rear so 4.88. Ford went to a 37 spline pinion that year so not many options yet.
4.88 was the stock ratio in the mid 2000s f450-550s I believe, is that what the rear is sitting with now? have you ran the gear ratio through any calculators to see rpms and speeds of each gear?

3.73 in the rear right now. 4.88 is pretty good. I believe I was around 2k at 70 in OD.

Also running a 4L80. Has a .75 od vs .70 on the 4L60.

4.10 - 1,950 RPM @ 70
4.88 - 2,325 RPM @ 70

40" Tire
4.10 - 1,800 RPM @ 70
4.88 - 2,150 RPM @ 70

The front currently has a 4.10 gear. I can get a 4.10 for the rear also.

Ordered a cam yesterday from Texas Speed.
212/218 @ .050", .600"/.600" Lift, 111 LSA
PAC Beehive Springs
Hardened pushrods
New lifters

437.3 HP @ 6200 RPM/417.8 TQ @ 4800 RPM with headers, this cam and a tune on a stock 5.3 on their dyno. Right at 350 ft.lbs. at 2,000 RPM

Will be doing some head work and possibly more depending on what the motor looks like when I get it apart.

Have you thought about moving the front end forward? Might take less trimming of the inner wheel wells, plus the added wheel base might give better manners when towing the pioneer?

I did. Have about 8" from the tire to rear fender.

Ditched the front frame and started rebuilding it. Wasn't enough clearance for the driveshaft, exhaust and links.

Yes I prefer separate switches but my HZJ77 has this little dial from the factory

What’s the stand RR for? I know front and rear and I know it’s for the lockers but they have some extra R’s there.
