As many has suggested, I started seriously looking at aftermarket shocks, Fox being primary. I missed out on the $1400 Fox deal on Amazon, they are now sold out with no date info on if/when they will have more. Found Walker Evans at Rocky Mountain, but only the rears, not all 4 until mid June. I want to get them before the Coalmont ride if possible. Finally found a site for the 814's, for about $1300. Folks there gave good reviews about how much better the ride was compared to stock ...... well ..... DUH. That should be a no brainer. What I want to know is how they compare to Fox or WE ....... anyone here have any knowledge on a comparison.

A major PLUS is they claim to give 2-2.5" increase ground clearance on the P1K, when properly set. A NEG. is on some of the trail models they tend to squeak.

You can buy the Fox fronts and rears separate from a dealer in GA for a little under $1400.

Don't know how I missed that, thanks.
Glad I could help. I bought a set last week from a dealer in AR. The ones in the pic from eBay is a dealer in GA. They were my second choice and I actually talked to them to make sure the shocks were in stock. Their posting seems to always say “last one”.

Ebay has the fox shocks for $1400 or less.

If you have a 1000-5 you will have to buy them separately but it's still around $1400. Should be free shipping and no tax.

I hope you are tickled to death with them ....... cause I placed my order for them yesterday ..... lol If all goes well, I will have them on for Coalmont. That 2" lift will surely help out with these 28" Berserkers. Thanks for the offer.

I am. Love the shocks.i started with 814s in front and fox in rear for a while. Couldn't really tell difference after adding 814s in rear. They are both great shocks. Love the adjustability of them. I run them little soft over rutted trails at Coalmont then crank them up a bit running over the rock beds.
