Whether you do manifolds or just gaskets. Do yourself a favour and have new studs/nuts on hand.
Now that you washed all the gunk off can you tell where it's coming from any better? Maybe spray it down with some soapy water while running?? Should see something before gets too hot and evaporates 🤷♂️I think y'all are right about the pipe being cracked. Look at the top of the close one and you can see a little gap and some black soot.

I don’t post very much and felt the need to share my $.02 worth. Here’s some friendly advice none of y’all have asked for that will spare lots of frustration. Concerning the “put some penetrating oil on any nuts and bolts and let it sit a bit” …while working for years in the exhaust world (2yrs @ MIDAS Muffler & Brakes and at a custom fab shop after that) I would strongly recommend using MARVEL MYSTERY OIL liberally and wait, at the very least, several minutes. And at the risk of sounding condescending, WD-40 was created to displace water, and even though it feels slippery, it is not necessarily a good lubricant. Hope this is found helpful to some
If it's cracked get a new one.I haven't had time to get the exhaust out yet. If it is cracked around that flange should I weld it or get a new one?

Welding just means you will be back in there soon to install a new one.
Ha I might have to go this routeThat looks like it's in the right spot for some tinfoil, beer can wrap, and 2 hose clamps.
Garunteedy to last 50 feet, or the end of the driveway, whichever comes first. 👍

Yea we have a welder at work that could tig it. I defintely should try thatEven though it would probably work......hahaha
I'd find a buddy with a good welder.
It's broke, you can't get a replacement for awhile.
Not gonna hurt it to try.
Weld it up, grind it back smooth.

A good muffler shop could sleeve and weld it.Just took it apart. I wasn't expecting it to be completely broken into 2 pieces. Guess I'll be ordering the pipe from Honda. Are the new ones any better? Will I be replacing this every few years or just bad luck with this one? There sure is alot of engine movement right there when it's running.
Is there an aftermarket muffler that includes this pipe? I couldn't find any that did.
Also I didn't know what studs to order. Anyone know the part #? It's not on the parts breakdown of the muffler.

I'll keep that in mind. A guy I work with is gonna take it to a local tech college where he used to teach welding and see what they can come up with for a repair.A good muffler shop could sleeve and weld it.
I'll see. He's an older guy and I doubt he knows how to take pictures. I'll get all the info I canCan you ask them for pics of setup, half way, and complete?
And what they use to do it.
