P1000 Chainsaw mount?

Does anyone make a good saw mount for the 1000-5? We have property in North Idaho, and I don't leave the place without my Husky. Period.

I've looked at a couple parts places online, but can't seem to find what I'm lookin for.

here's my OE Yamaha mount.. works like a charm.

I just put mine in the case and lay in the bed.

I just put mine in the case and lay in the bed.

Too much mud gets thrown into bed by tires to have a nice saw exposed like that.

What did you have to modify? I have a 1000-5 and trying to find where I want to mount my kolpin Mount. Got a dewalt 12” chainsaw from amazon coming this week.

If you want to mount it like I did mine, you will want to use a cutoff wheel to reduce the main metal plate by 2/3 so you can lay your seat down. You will also need to drill new holes for mounting. It isn’t bad - prob 10 min job and I’m real happy with mine - keeps chainsaw out of the way while also protecting it.

Just noticed how you mounted it. I don’t have those should mount bars. Mine is a 16 model.

LOL ...... might get on the case, but NOT on the saw inside the case.

I just bought a 2017 Pioneer 1000-5 LE and am in the process of switching over accessories from my 700-4. I had the chainsaw mount on my 700 held on the rops with a U-bolt and it deformed the rops from me over tightening it. On the 1000 I used 2 Honda rops clamps, worked out great and I can remove the saw while still in the holder if needed. Much better setup.
