Oh it did!!
I read on a Yamaha forum that the grizzly was famous for this. Where water would sizzle. Are you sure you were In turf and it was working ?
Oh yeah... I heated the f*** out of them. And then let them cool.. did That every time I rode until I sent them back!
just ride it. If your not running blacktop i can't imagine getting that hot

I had a grizzly... it didn’t do this.

But I do ride blacktop between farms... so it’s gunna get that hot.

The diff fluid isn’t the issue... the diff is substantially cooler than the cvs buy 100-150*!!

They wouldn’t have bothered to send me new axles if this was normal.

And that’s why I’m not... but besides. They’re supposed to be “better” than stock... more articulation, stronger, cooler and carry a warranty!

I figured if he heated it up that much he was straining the diff on the blacktop. Easiest to change.
It’s fine and has very little mileage since last change.. but I plan on changing it when I get things figured out, with as much as I’ve been in and out of the diffs.
