Long story short I’m new on here and recently went back to Honda w a P1000-5... when I purchased I didn’t have the time to let the dealer install the A-arm lift I wanted so I just bought the lift from them and was going to install my self I thought, but between work and a baby I have no time so I took to my local auto/tire shop and had them put it on I brought it home today and it has no power to the rear 1/2... so to get it to move I must put it in 4wd and to load on trailer I needed def lock
I’m hoping while everything was disconnected the shifting cables in the box got out of wack but does anyone have any other words of advice or heard if this happening before

I am not quite sure how they managed that one but where theres a will theres a way I supposed. If the cable were messed up it would default to 2WD lock, if it were under tension its in turf. So how they managed to screw that up I am not sure at all. Did they disconnect the rear drive shaft or did they leave the rear axels out?

Welcome to the club.
Sorry to hear this. And like above no clue as to why this would happen from installing a lift.

Is the drive shaft spinning going into the diff? Surely they didnt break a driveline part. Axle, drive shaft or else.

I agree. If the turf box was messed up you would have 1 or the other. Not a complete loss.

Maybe someone else will chime in.

Until then, you can watch @JTW breaking his driveshaft going into the diff and causing the problem you describe.

I have nothing from park to low range when in 2wd

I found the torque specs on line and I plan to double check them

Anyone had this trouble with the superatv a arms

Can you post a picture of the rear end/driveline? That might help if it's something obvious we can see. Aren't the rear axles different lengths @JTW @ohanacreek ? I've never taken it apart but I thought I'd seen it mentioned before. They might not be engaged in the diff with the added angle of the SATV arms if they aren't on the correct sides?

Very slightly different lengths. They would still work if backwards but one would be harder to remove and rub the diff case.

If the rear isn’t working at all it’s something major they’ve screwed up somehow. I don’t see how though if they just put the a-arms on it, unless they left the axles removed.

Gotcha. I was hoping he could post a picture of his machine.

@Jmartin is there a bind or does it just rev like it's in neutral?

Well I figured it out
Thanks everyone for your help

Somehow they pulled the axles out 1/2 to 1” when installing the a arms (makes no since to me) any way one popped right back in and the other I had to replace. I ran a few miles and going to flush fluid a few times and cross my fingers

So they didn’t seat the axle splines in the diff. You better drain that diff oil and check for glitter. You only initially think it was an easy fix. How much have you ran it?
