Well I got out for a quick rip and the difference is night and day,..don’t get me wrong it’s no Talon but for a short a arm 6 inch travel buggy it is impressively smooth. Best mod to date for me. And I got the 4 Elkas for just a bit more than 2 Walker Evans

First ride about this spring from winter storage of my P500 Dozer. I did mess with the shock setting on the stage 3s, yaaaas noticeable difference. Set down at softer setting it tends to pogo and will bottom out rather easily, guess that makes sense. Snugged up the settings, no pogo… smooth controlled pillowy, next time out I’ll turn to highest setting to see… it does make a noticeable difference messing with the settings.
cheers.

Would’ve gone stage three but I think there’s some fitment issues that I saw in another thread as well stage twos went on no issues whatsoever
You're probably referring to my thread. I've been thrashing the WE (stage 3 equivalent) here at T.O. and it's cleared just fine.

I've had my Elka S1s for almost two years. I love them! My parents and sister/brother in law have P5s that are all stock. My P5 rides sooo much better with the Elkas and Tusk Radial tires. My nephew talks about it nonstop when he rides in my P5 compared to his stock ride.

Just got them installed. Super easy, About a 3/4 hour total. The settings from Elka netted me 1" taller in the back unloaded VS the EOM and 3/4" in the front. Update. 7-30-2022. Took the 520 for the first run up FourPeaks with the Elkas today. Wow! Now it was mostly on dirt roads but with the recent monsoons there was a lot of exposed rocks and g-outs into the washes. Minor washboard was overcome with ease. What were cringe worthy moments before are now non events. What suprised me most was the improved articulation the Honda has now. A single wheel will now compress into a rock and doesn't raise the whole vehicle as a solid unit. A lot of that tippiness is gone. The only drawback so far is coming off boulders and drop-offs. The shocks will compress more than it used to and the skid plate will suffer. ;) Bottom line is they work. And very well. It doesn't turn the Honda into a Can-am but dramatically improves the existing platform.

I am waiting on you to give a review of these after you have tried them out. Also, you have these on a p520 correct? I looked on Elka's web page, it only showed shocks for p500s 2015-2017. Also, where did you buy them? Price?
Yes these are on the 520. At first I inquired about the 520 and was told they don't make/fit. But too many people had installed them and are using them so I bought them for my 2017 500, Wink Wink. ;) EBay and price was $949.00 + tax.

Knowing that when ordering Elka shocks that they are 8-12 weeks out I placed an order with my recreational shock guy on July 2nd, got a good price for the set of 4, and he too said it would be 8-10 weeks... I ordered them at the time thinking it would be about right for when my 520 got here at the end of august. Either I'm an anomaly or they are now getting through orders faster because I received them at my door Monday July 25th. Which was quite the surprise.

I now get to add them to my pile of mods that are waiting for the 520 to get here...

Don't let the mods pile up too high! I bought stuff over the last 9 months and just started to swap stuff out last weekend. Little projects would have been nice to do instead of a full tear down like I did.

There was some economy of scale by doing it this way: to do the torque locker you have to take the control arms and shocks off any way, so that was a bonus to swap those all out at the same time.

Turn signals, Trigger shield, winch, power steering and skid plate could all be done at the same time.

windshield, roof and mirrors could logically be lumped together.

I'm excited to ride my p520 after the new Elka shocks are on. My machine should feel very different after the locker, power steering and shocks.
