Weldors don’t like drilling holes to bolt things together.

Hey TH, I have that same coupler and if I'm not mistaken, the holes are even threaded. No better than that weld is, I'd have run bolts in it.Well, it damn sure looks like I got one lazy ass welder then.. The holes were already drilled..

Got a good start on mine today. Looks big, but it's only 6 X 12. No railing on the sides. I hate railing. Then I can side load my golf cart or ATV. A little black paint, fenders and some 2 X's, and it'll be good to go. After all said and done, it should be right about $700.00
There might even be enough room for the smoker, TH.Nicely done! I would have built mine but it seems I just do not have the time anymore in the evenings and my weekends are tied up due to not having the time during the week..
It ain't a trailer until you've bent the jack. It took you damn near a week. If you have a grinder it will take you about 20 minutes to grind the weld out.Well Chit! New trailer and already jacked it up.. Apparently the tongue jack back out while driving to our hunting property this morning and when I went to drop off the wife in Waco at her friends house we drove through a dip in the intersection of a 4 way stop and BAM I heard something hit hard..
Yep jacked up the jack.. Dammit!! I would just replace it but I have to ask the question to those who build trailers why in the hell would you weld a bolt on tongue jack? They get damaged more often that not and it would make it a whole lot easier to just remove 3 3/8" bolts and pop a new on on.. View attachment 106200
Not a bad price for a trailer that size.Got a good start on mine today. Looks big, but it's only 6 X 12. No railing on the sides. I hate railing. Then I can side load my golf cart or ATV. OR>>> Load your SXS and connect the winch to the top of the jack. Winch it back upright. Use a snatch-block if your winch doesn't have the strength.

Actually less than 24 hours.. Picked it up at 1PM That Saturday and bent it around 10:30AM Sunday morning.. My mother told me a LONG time ago I would tear up a steel ball with boxing gloves..
