Weldors don’t like drilling holes to bolt things together.

Well, it damn sure looks like I got one lazy ass welder then.. The holes were already drilled..

welds are cheaper than bolts especially if you are welding the rest of it anyway. cut off wheel on angle grinder should take it quick, then you can paint it

Got a good start on mine today. Looks big, but it's only 6 X 12. No railing on the sides. I hate railing. Then I can side load my golf cart or ATV. A little black paint, fenders and some 2 X's, and it'll be good to go. After all said and done, it should be right about $700.00

tough to find one without a rail, mostly why I built mine too and I just like building stuff. over 7x18 made of c channel, two 3500 dexter spring over ezlube breaking axles, I can put three or 4 quads on the side or tractor. all the ones that I looked at were too low or you would have to load it from the back or both. also 3-4k and I had about 1500 into it, majority of that being the dexter axles but I wanted something that would last and be easy to maintain

Nicely done! I would have built mine but it seems I just do not have the time anymore in the evenings and my weekends are tied up due to not having the time during the week..

Well Chit! New trailer and already jacked it up.. Apparently the tongue jack back out while driving to our hunting property this morning and when I went to drop off the wife in Waco at her friends house we drove through a dip in the intersection of a 4 way stop and BAM I heard something hit hard..

Yep jacked up the jack.. Dammit!! I would just replace it but I have to ask the question to those who build trailers why in the hell would you weld a bolt on tongue jack? They get damaged more often that not and it would make it a whole lot easier to just remove 3 3/8" bolts and pop a new on on.. View attachment 106200
It ain't a trailer until you've bent the jack. It took you damn near a week. If you have a grinder it will take you about 20 minutes to grind the weld out.

OR>>> Load your SXS and connect the winch to the top of the jack. Winch it back upright. Use a snatch-block if your winch doesn't have the strength.

Actually less than 24 hours.. Picked it up at 1PM That Saturday and bent it around 10:30AM Sunday morning.. My mother told me a LONG time ago I would tear up a steel ball with boxing gloves..

I like the trailers with dove tails myself. Mine is a 77x12 with a 2 ft dove tail so the gate is small. Other folks use it alot more than I do since we moved to the land.

what is sorghum?

Sorghum is a grass related to corn, milo, Sudan, etc. It's grown for forage, silage, molasses, ethanol, flour, etc. I grow sweet sorghum for sorghum molasses or sorghum syrup. It grows to around 14 feet tall and once the seed reaches maturity and the sorghum juice is at it's sweetest, we cut the seed heads off, strip the leaves, then cut the stalks or cane down, squeeze it in a 130 year old mill, then cook it until it reaches the constancy of honey. You use it on biscuits, pancakes, for cookie and candy making. It's high in iron so it's used as a supplement for iron deficiencies. Here are a couple videos. Our operation has changed a bit since these videos, but the process hasn't. It's very labor intensive, but a lot of fun.

I changed my mind on my trailer. I didn't think it was rigid enough, so went ahead with a rail. It really is too long for a single axle, but I'll be pulling it behind my 5th wheel travel trailer.

Hey look! Bolts!
