Spray can ceramic painted my whole exhaust and heat shields and did the header wrap ( the header tubes are stainless to the collector). Didn't seem to help any. A full bubble/aluminum wrap from the seat bottom up the back seat and blower is much better. Doesn't help that your basically sitting on the motor. Most others are further back.
Wonder if Honda with there mid engine 1000 are planing for something great, we may be driving mini Ferries

Don't hold your breath, the dealership I work at hasn't heard a peep about taking care of the issue.

If everyone fixes the heat problem on their own and doesn't complain to Honda it will never get resolved by Honda. PLEASE call and turn in your heat complaints to Honda direct, then just mabe we might be heard.

I have and have a case #, I think Honda will fix the issue when HELL FREEZES OVER, I don't want to wait that long. The only way Honda will address the issue is from sales going down, this is a big corp.

Don't just shoot down my suggestion. You might be correct but if no one complains why should they fix it????? Give me a break and let me beat my drum. I still think everyone should complain direct to Honda. Then just maybe the squeaky wheel might get some grease.

Sorry I agree, but I strongly complained to the dealer I bought it from,in in a week of purchasing, they put a after market heat shield under the seat at no cost to me, that took care of the steam flash, that's all Honda is worried about. Steam flash burns/law suite. Did you see what I did to the rear floor boards of mine, cost $35.00, enough to do two or three S X S. And it works pretty good, no fan. The heat is great in the winter, but with warmer weather coming on?

I have added insulation and blower to mine but not telling Honda. My dealer not doing anything until they fix the problem. Complaints must go to Honda not the dealer. Thanks

What drum you play? Until someone comes out with a similar platform with no heat issues and Honda sales drop, will they do any thing about it. They have had several years to fix this issue.

I think it's on this what ever. Really simple, go to Lowes get some closed cell foil backed insulation, $25.00, spray contact glue, $10.00. Take and cut trim your foil back insulation to fit your rear floor boards off, clean them. Spray the glue on and there you have it. On my P5 I did insulate the back side of the air box cover. I'm going to insulate up the back of the seat for final touches, which I could find black foil backed sided insulation

Rode right a hundred miles this weekend
Not solved but a LOT better, still need to figure out how to keep heat off the plastic strip between bottom and the back of the front seat.

This past fall I was hunting with a friend and we were on his Yamaha Viking. I noticed he had no cab heat issues but it was kind of loud. Just recently my brother bought the Polaris General and he too has no cab heat issues. Both machines have something in common. Both motors are completely open. Here's a pic of General:

So I was looking at my Honda and was wondering what if I removed all the plastic covering? Would that let heat escape? Here is pic of my Honda:

What do you guys think?

I just added this heat shield material to my 2016 P1K on the seat bottom. I will let you know how it works next time I'm riding.
