That's owsom I just bought me a brand new 4570 Remington gide gun I'm ready DAD.LOL sure why not gregory! Only if your a hunter though? My kids like to ride but none got my hunting gene
Can I get in on this too? I'm in need of some mountain time!LOL sure why not gregory! Only if your a hunter though? My kids like to ride but none got my hunting gene
Life's been busy lately leaving me not much time to post on here... With hunting season gearing up I have been scouting for trophy bulls to go after. So last week while i was in the honda shop getting a couple filters I couldn't help but notice the price reduction on a 16 red 500 hmmm... In short after talking to the dealer It was loaded onto the trailer I happened to be packing ( how convenient)... I put the same tires and rim package on as the blue one, a bimini top and half windshield. And will stop their on this one for now. So now I'm up to 2 foremans a rancher and two pioneers. If that won't bring the kids back home once in a while I don't know what will.
Heck ya JTW! I'm fortunate to watch (photograph) world class elk & deer & moose here by the drove's it's just horrible to have to do this repetitively day in and day out on my day's off. But it was prescribed as a cure for my mental health well being by my dearest caretaker (my wife) cause she said it keeps my check in balance system inline with my daily well being.... God bless her and how we'll she know's me... AND then you add the 500 to the transportation department for assistance and well it's truly a rough, rough life. Selfie playing in the field, I normally don't do this but had a friend I was teaching photography for wild life on this day....Can I get in on this too? I'm in need of some mountain time!
Thank you, that sounds like it would be a blast.Good Luck with the elk hunt. I was trying to figure out how to justify a 3rd OHV when my wife doesn't drive and the kids live at the ends of the country. We are going out harpoon hunting near the end of season in September. Usually whack something.
All the best with #2 P5.
Dads hunted Idaho a few times.. We've got friends out there and I know several folks from the Bowfishing forum out that way.Heck ya JTW! I always love your work Stacy. Looking forward to the pics!!Well, life been so busy but I have finally gotten around to the back half of the Pioneer. Its always bothered me how close the back rack is to the cage so Round TWO has officially begun.
The back rack is lowered 1/2" and moved back 2 3/3" cut off the factory intake. And new back panel is freshly on from powder coat. The new rear plexiglass window is moulded to the cage and tucks in nicely under the roof. I ripped the factory one pretty bad with a beautiful big 6x6 bull two weeks ago so I had motivation to do more custom work and to get what I have been wanting to do for a long time done. So multiple reasons here one I wanted to sound proof and nock out a little more dust. An B make room for my custom aluminum box on the back rack. It's looking sweet! All try to get some pic's posted this evening. Been loving checking every blue moon to see all these awesome builds. Good stuff!
Dude, I don’t know what your day job is but you should just be producing your own line of SXS’s!!!!! You get the blue ribbon again!!!Seems minor,,, View attachment 89179 View attachment 89180 but this was a little work. Moved rack on back, back 2 3/4" Ran intake in stainless, i already had tubing. powder coated aluminum plate and used honda quick clamps to mount. Was able to go pretty low with the plate by moving rack. Bent some hard coat plexy to conform to the cage and used honda clamps again. Married it together with window auto gasket and used used auto gasket sealer on the back side of both to create a airtight seal between the cage and roof. Plated under the seat and behind the seat with firestone roofing rubber. ( I HAVE 300 square feet of the stuff). And then outdoor carpet that all marries into the back plate.
Did wonders for the noise, dust and heat.
Now on to finish welding the back aluminum box.
Lol, thank You.! Alway's means something coming from valued members. I get OCD, on things. The back has bugged me forever, and I hate doing things half a$$. I won't lie after doing the front I didn't know If I could dedicate the time, I know not everyone will think its needed. I just couldn't take the dust (noise), heat I could handle, I prayed this would help. But sealing the stuff from under the fenders did the trick. Went through 6" of powder in the desert the other day and I grinned. Loaded her up on the trailer looked in the mirror and I wasn't a different race. (JKING).Dude, I don’t know what your day job is but you should just be producing your own line of SXS’s!!!!! You get the blue ribbon again!!!
I bet you could. You should apply with photos of your work. I know all your comrades here will be proud of it. Keep it up Stacy....If only I could make hondas R&D department....
There you go.. he's actually a 7x7 I give my friend crap his 6 th's don't count because there so short. He is a beautiful bull with massive beams. Green scores 400 3/4". A giant and he destroyed my factory vinyl back panel. All good though. What a very impressive improvement you have made. I was sure missing your build and kept taking about the local guy with the best 500 out there. I actually want to see the 6x6 that made this all possible. Enjoy the hunting season.
