Did the repairs order say anything about chamfering the oil relief valves? Mine did.Keep an eye for clutch crud in your oil thats what happened to mine
Since my clutch replacement, hammer down, just DON'T DO ANY THING SLOW ESPECIALLY IN REVERSE. YOU MAY NEED SHOCKS, HA!Very good deal!
Now get out there and ride!
It would be running fine then stop pulling acted like a clutch problem but then it started knocking the clutch crud had stopped up the oil pump screen it was down for around 3 months
Honda crf250-450 has separate fills. Only jap bike that does it. But never seen an issue with the Honda bikes with out, they've NEVER burnt clutches.I've always thought clutches running in the same oil as the engine crankcase was a lame ass idea. Japanese bikes have done it forever but it don't make it right...
I like Harley with three holes to fill...
The 1000 is the first Honda with clutch issues that I'm aware of. Got almost 30k on two Honda bikes original set. Personally never had a set go in a bike but then again the bike has larger clutches and more of them the the P1k lol. Think the 250x still runs two not sure on 450. The r and x are different.I think Honda went away from 2 different fill holes on there dirt bikes. I just bought my son a 2017 crf 450rx and it just has 1 fill hole for the oil. this is new for the 2017 dirt bikes. I like it better also I have a 2003 Honda rubicon 500 and it just has 1 fill hole for the oil and this is for the motor and the transmission oil. the rubicon has over 7000 miles on it with no problems but I know it has a totally different transmission than the pioneer.
