Preper stuff can get pretty dark. The only person that has a vehicle that will survive the EVeNt,in all of Honda sxs shhh is cumingspusher. From what I understand,is that anything electronic will be disabled. So any gasoline powered vehicle that has a distributor with anything other than points and condenser is out.So let’s hear about ur bug out vehicle that ur going to acquire ,or build.
I’ve got the old jeep, tractor, boat, dirt bike, dad has a 12 valve Cummins, not sure how that would react to an EMP and I’m considering buying an old inline six jeep truck. The old Jeep! That’s the one I want.
Now you’re talking, those old Jeep trucks are hard to find but I’d like to have one.I’ve got the old jeep, tractor, boat, dirt bike, dad has a 12 valve Cummins, not sure how that would react to an EMP and I’m considering buying an old inline six jeep truck.
What kind of in line jeep truck?I’ve got the old jeep, tractor, boat, dirt bike, dad has a 12 valve Cummins, not sure how that would react to an EMP and I’m considering buying an old inline six jeep truck.

I think I want a Comanche.. I kinda like that size. As a kid dad had a couple of the j series trucks and I loved the look but the transmissions were garbage. What kind of in line jeep truck?
Those are getting hard to find and expensive out here. Making a pickup out of a vehicle as good as a Cherokee was a great ideal, really.I think I want a Comanche.. I kinda like that size. As a kid dad had a couple of the j series trucks and I loved the look but the transmissions were garbage.
I saw a Comanche today and it rekindled my interest in one. Just a little work truck to bang around in. Then I can put the f150 in the shop and leave the beater sitting out. Those are getting hard to find and expensive out here. Musta had the sr trannys. Dad had a cj and ran a sr4 and sr5 trans in it. Its a car rated trans. An old j10 with t176 or t18 will last longer than you or i could.I think I want a Comanche.. I honestly have no idea what they had or much about them really... there’s a guy with one locally he retired and it’s SWEEEET!!Musta had the sr trannys. Dad had a cj and ran a sr4 and sr5 trans in it. Its a car rated trans. An old j10 with t176 or t18 will last longer than you or i could.

No ,their just a rolling computer.a lot of electronics.I never thought about such things either.Im an old mechanic changed a lot of points and condensers in my day.but one day I ran into a preper sitting in a bar ,made me think about things. He told me he had all this stuff stached at his house to survive.he asked me what my plan was. Thought awhile, told him just going to find where he lived and take his shhhht

I had a 72 k5 blazer,it was great ,might have to go find another one.prepers talk about those 12. Valve Cummins pretty sure they will survive EMP thing.Dont know much about diesels,I think the old Cummins are mechanical injected.where is the legend from the PNW ?He would knowThose are getting hard to find and expensive out here. Spent like a cartridge or a like a lost cent. Lacking the dimes, he can't pay his rent. His arse over backwards and with the demise of his tent, so off to the corner he went......To find a lurid Manthing a wealthy old Gent to ride like the wind until he is spent....Again!Nah. He's spent.
I agree the 6.2 was a slow pos. The transmission was geared so low the top speed was 50 mph. Another thought about the Deuces is the poor milage especially when running waste oils but if the SHTF, I guess that won't matter too much! The old Chevy diesels are worse than turds!! No power and the transmissions are garbage! So dad was a the guy that got to screen military equipment for his department. We had all kinds of old military s*** coming thru here as a kid.
