Thanks Moose

After reaming out a couple of the holes, drilling out to 1/2" the two others, and a trip to get nuts for the bottom bolts I finally got the darn thing on. It's a nice piece of steel, but I'm not impressed with Moose. Needs some tweaking.

Anyone tried one on a 2020?

The Mfg one says it fits up to 2019.

They probably just didn't update the product page. There were no changes that I know of that would affect it fitting a 2020.

I had some difficulty installing mine, but it's a great addition for sure.

Let me know how it works on the 2020, I'm thinking it would be a good addition to my buggy!

It didn’t fit, I brought it to work to open the lower holes on the mill. Didn’t feel like breaking out the dremel last night. I’ll update this post when I get it bolted up. Hopefully this evening.

I have a pile of stuff to add.
Hitch, rear bumper, glovebox, seatbelt light bypass, frame plugs, and lights (with blue sea bus bar).

Edit:

Install was a fail for the night. I had to break out the dremel on the upper holes. Then the lower bolts were m10x1.5 (states this in the paperwork as well) well at least on my bike the lower bolts from the factory are m10x1.25. So you cannot use the factory but as per the instructions.

The upper bolts are an issuer because I am also installing the Honda rear bumper. If you put the bumper over the hitch, the tube is very close to the fenders. I’m choosing to let the bumper take the place of the spacers with two washers added. That causes the bolts I bought m10x1.25x100mm to not have a long enough threaded section.

Easy fixes but frustrating. As someone in the Mfg industry, this is terrible quality. If they would put slots instead of holes it would fix the issue. Very disappointed in a made in USA product.

Now once it’s installed it will most likely be a great addition.

I had trouble with mine as well. Frustrating. It's a 4 bolt pattern, sheesh.

Well I got it on with the Honda rear bumper. I could t find any full thread m10x1.25 bolts anywhere locally. So I drilled through the nuts on the Honda bumper with a 13/32” drill bit to clear the 10mm bolt. I put the bumper against the frame and added 2 washers in between the bumper nuts and the hitch. Basically instead of using the spacers, I have the bumper with washers. Works fine. I used a m10x1.25x100mm stainless bolt (90mm would be better I’m going to trim these), and locknuts. 1.5 pitch is more common and would work just the same since I drilled out the 1.25 threads.

I am disappointed in the moose fitment. I slotted all 4 holes and still had to force it on. Also the instructions say to use the factory lower nuts but they are the wrong pitch for the bolts they supply. Not sure if Honda changed it on the 2020 models or something but be prepared to buy a couple m10x1.5 locknuts.

I had read posts about putting the Honda bumper on top of the hitch. While that would work, it puts the crossbar very close to the fender.

Was the same on my 2018, had to wobble out the lower 2 bolt holes, and get 2 new bolts/nuts for the bottom.

Anyone try the Moose receiver or MFG one on the 520? I am wanting to order one, but worried about fitting issues...

I ordered the MFG but FedEx got me on it. They said it was delivered but never made it to me. Still dealing with MFG on it.
